Even though i have set it to the txtEmail.Text property. So when I reply, it sends me an email. What am I not seeing that I messed up. Also this is running from VS 2005.

SSIS Send Mail Task - Failure Sending Mail

Hi Everyone, Hopefully someone out there will have an idea as this is driving me nuts. I've setup a task to email on success/failure and keep receiving the following message when executed: Progress: The SendMail task is initiated. - 0 percent complete[Send Mail Task] Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "Failure sending mail.". Progress: The SendMail task is completed. - 100 percent completeTask Send Mail Task failed When I configure Outlook Express on the same machine with the same settings it works. On the SMTP Connection Manager I have left the default name, tested with both an IP address and Server Name, and no authentication or SSL. On the Send Mail Task, it uses the above connection. The To: , From: , Subject  fields are populated. Message SourceType is DirectInput, MessageSource is Test, Priority is Normal and no attachments or expressions etc. Nothing useful is logged in the Event Viewer even with full logging turned on. Any suggestions appreciated, Thanks.

Getting error after sending E-Mail (ASP.NET)

Hi, everyone!

I have a function in my asp.net page and whenever it is called it is giving me an error :(

"A page can have only one server Form tag"

It doesn't happen when the page is loaded. only after a button is clicked.

The code is:

void send(object sender, EventArgs e){

   StringBuilder sb=new StringBuilder();

   StringWriter sw= new StringWriter(sb);

   HtmlTextWriter ht=new HtmlTextWriter(sw);

   form1.RenderControl(ht);

   string bodyMessage=sb.ToString();

   string subject="Testing";

   string emailTo="wjung@xxxx.net";

   string emailFrom="wjung@xxxx.net";

   try { objUtilities.SendEmail(subject,bodyMessage,emailTo,emailFrom); }

   catch (Exception ex) { label1.Text+=ex.ToString();}

I can send and receive E-Mail. but the page shows error.

Please help me, and since I am a newbie to ASP.NET please

instruct me step by step. Thank you!

What is the best method of sending through e-mail and error that is caught with the try, catch, etc

Using VB, VS 2010,  I am wanting a remote web app to send me an e-mail when it finds an error using the try catch.  What is the best way to do that?

SSRS 2005 - Failure sending mail in e-mail subscription

Hi,

I added a new TimedSubscription to a report.  However when the report ran, it hit an error.  The Status text was as follows.

Failure sending mail: The permissions granted to user 'domain\user1' are insufficient for performing this operation.

(assuming domain\user1 was my account)

I have the Content Manager role to the report and its folder.  I could run the report interactively with no issues.  This particular report does not require any parameters.

The odd thing was this only happened when I selected "Include Report".  If I selected only "Include Link" it would be fine.

To troubleshoot, I changed my role to System Administrator in Report Manager and re-tried.  The same result was observed.  However after I added my user account, domain\user1, to the local Administrators group, the problem went away!

What rights (in SSRS, local server, folder, etc) does a user need to have in order for the e-mail subscription with file inclusion to work?

The systems involved are as follows.

Windows Server 2003 (SP2)
Microsoft SQL Server Standard Edition, 9.00.4053.00

Thanks.

Best regards,

Jude.

Failure sending mail: Exception 0xc0000005 was generated at address 0x000007FEE3D4122B Mail will not

I'm running SSRS 2008R2.  I'm getting the above error a a couple of email subscriptions.  Some email subscriptions work, a few I'm getting this error message.  I've seen the posts about resetting IIS, SSRS and Agent Service.  I've done this, and it does seem to temporary fix the issue, but then it comes back.

The one post where it says the "From" field containing more than 255 characters.  This is not my situation.

I need to find a more permanent fix for this issue.  Does anybody have any further insight.  Some postings seem to be related to older versions of SSRS.  I'm on the latest.

Email Help (System.Net.Mail)

Hi I have a annoying problem.
I have created a page which takes users details for a quote.

I have then created the form to be emailed to both the user and myself. (Which works fine ATM)

However I would also like to be able to attach a file containing terms and conditions to the email.

I have tried doing this using

EmailMsg.Attachments.Add(new Attachment("C:\\attachme.txt"));

But everytime that line of code is hit it fails and is caught by my try catch.

Take that line out and the email sends fine, put it in and it breaks the whole page.

Am I missing something really obvious?
