SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration Error

When i try to Access SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration i get a page that comes up and simply reads, "Error" and then on another line reads "An Unexpected error has occured." I have tried rebooting the machine, i have not installed any new software as of late and to be honest, i dont know how long it has been down as i only access this page about 1 or 2 times a month. i have read through the forums and haven't found anything that describes the problem i am having. My System is MS SBS 2008 with basic settings (nothing special) everything else works (standard sharepoint access, exchange, remote web workplace ... suchforth)   thanks for any help!

Error When Uploading InfoPath Form in Central Administration

Hi.

An error appears when I try to upload an InfoPath Form template in Central Administration -> Application Management -> Manage Form Templates -> Upload Form Template.  The error output is "Unknown Error" after attempting to upload the Form.  Not Very Useful!

When I show more detailed errors it shows as below.  The Form compiles and publishes fine in Visual Studio.

I have not seen this error before in Cental Administration when uploading an InfoPath Form Template.  What could the problem be?

When accessing SharePoint or Central Administration 3.0 a "503 Service Unavailable" error is returne

I am running a MOSS 2007 server in a test environment. I have been off building other aspects of the environment, but I come back today and notice that SharePoint is no longer working. Whenver I try to access it or the Central Administration area I recieve a "503: Service Unavailable" error.

I have also notice that after an IISRESET that the applications pools that are associated with the SharePoint sites (Extranet, Intranet, Sharepoint - 21075, and Central Administration fail to start on their own. I can start the manually. They are all running under the DOMAIN\Administrator account (as are ALL of the SharePoint related features. I know, I know, but that is what the requestor of this test environment requested).

Additionally the following error codes are logged (NOTE: These are translated from German):

Turning off Crawling the Central Administration site?

There are 2 places that "Search Visibility" can be set on WSS3 servers:

Central Administration > Site Settings > Search Visibility

What are the ramifications of "hiding" the Central Administration site from search?

SharePoint 2007 Central Admin - blank page, isapimodule error in IIS

I've got a Windows 2008 SP2 server runing x64.

When i try to access the SharePoint Central Admin site, I just get a blank page. No errors in the Windows logs, nothing showing up in the SharePoint logs. The IIS log shows a 500 error.

I enabled Failed Request Tracing for the 500 status code, which gives me the following information:

Can Web Services be blocked by Central administration ?

I am a Site Collection administrator. I am thinking of using Web Services (_vti_bin/Lists.asmx etc.,) and display some data regarding Lists, Permissions, SubSites on some pages. My question is whether accessing these web services at site level can be blocked by central administration or not. If they cannot be blocked, then I would like to go forward on what I have mentioned above. Can anyone please clarify. Thanks.

Central Administration no longer accessible by any account after changing Farm Account in SharePoint

I have a problem, that I no longer can access Central Administration Website, only the Sharepoint itself. I was running installation of Sharepoint 2010 Server with administrative account ImTheAdmin, who is a Domain Admin in the MYDOMAIN domain. Using ImTheAdmin I installed Sharepoint 2010 on one of the Windows 2008 R2 member servers. Besides that, I made ImTheAdmin the primary administrator of the Sharepoint. ImTheAdmin became the only user of this Sharepoint 2010 server after installation.  I installed everything on one box with default installation settings. I used builtin SQL server, not Standard or Enterprise. What then happened is: Using ImTheAdmin account, I opened Central Administration Website, and it said, that I need to change the Farm Account, as the account for Farm was the default one (I think it was network service). So I created a regular domain user in AD Users and Computers called MYDOMAIN\SPFarmAccount. Then using IE, I went to the Central Administration Website page, which is meant for changing farm account usernames. I put in MYDOMAIN\SPFarmAccount down in to the form of Central Administration Website, added the check mark, that it would react to password changes, and pressed Change. Browser worked for a while, and after that nothing seemed to work. Neither my Sharepoint, nor Central Administration website. When going to Central Administra

Failed to change Farm Account in Sharepoint 2010 server, now Central Administration is not accessibl

So I created a regular domain user MYDOMAIN\SharepointFarmAccount. The account name was too long to be as a Windows 2000 name, so it showed there without last 't', e.g. MYDOMAIN\SharepointFarmAccoun. I thought, Windows 2000 is long gone, so I didn't pay much attention, I think everywhere the account SID is important. I don't know if that is the real problem with my failure later, but it might be one of the reasons. I put MYDOMAIN\SharepointFarmAccount down in to the form of Central Administration Website, added the check mark, that it would react to password changes, and pre

Claims to windows token service wont start in Central administration

Not sure if this is a bug or some setting I just dont understand but I cannot get the claims to windows token service from manage services to show as started. When I click start I get this error in the event viewer: An attempt to start/stop instance of service Claims to Windows Token Service on server <SERVERNAME> did not succeed. Re-run the action via UI or command line on the specified server. Additional information is below. c2wts (DOMAIN\sp_farm) I have searched and searched for an answer. This thread http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepoint2010setup/thread/6b865ead-970b-4460-9dcf-1cc6d6d8530b talks about needing a connection to the internet, but my server is connected to the internet so i think i can rule that out. Also I have read that c2wts depends on the crypto service. I have run this command with no success: sc config c2wts depend= cryptsvc I can start the c2wts service through services.msc and it is succesful. But central administration still shows it is stopped. I have also re-run the installer in repair mode, and re-run the initial configuration wizard, maintaining all of the same settings as the previous installation. That didn't help. Basically, I'm out of ideas and I cant find much about this on the web. Any ideas?

Central Administration Could not retrieve ISAPI filters

I am having trouble with CA. When I try to open it errors pops up in event viewer  - Could not load all ISAPI filters for site 'SHAREPOINT CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION V3'.  Therefore site startup aborted. - The update cannot be started because the content sources cannot be accessed. Fix the errors and try the update again. Context: Application 'Search', Catalog 'index file on the search server Search' SO I wanted to add those filters and I went to ISAPI filters of CA but whe I try to open ISAPI , I receive following error  Filename \\?\C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config , line number 3155 Cannot add duplicate collection entry of type 'filter' with unique key attribute 'name' set to 'ASP.Net_2.0.50727'  Config Source:  <isapiFilters>                 <filter name="ASP.NET_2.0.50727.0"  path="C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_filter.dll"  enableCache="true" preCondition="bitness32"/> <filter name="ASP.NET_2.0.50727.0"  path="C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_filter.dll"  enableCache="true" preCondition="bitness64"/>             </isapiFilters>

Central Admin (and all other sites) 404 error

I have a MOSS 2007 installation on Windows Server 2008, all 64-bit.  I still have this setup in test phase but there has been a lot of work put into it and was near ready to start receiving content when this happened.  There is one externally facing site collection using port 443 forwarded through our router and mapped through DNS, as well as the default websites and the central administration site.  The only sites being used are the one on 443 and central admin.  Both sites were working and accessible as of yesterday but now they are not.  Directly before the sites became inaccessible two things happened, so I'm not sure which is the cause.  First, updates were installed, and secondly a blank IIS site was created on port 443 as a test, then was deleted out of IIS manager.  Attempts to log into Central Administration now bring up a 404 error although it does take the credentials and Explorer reports "Website found. Waiting for reply." Attempts to access an externally facing site do the same, the web page displays the message to accept the server certificate as well as the logon dialog box, but then it simply times out and brings up a 404 error.  A number of errors have also been reported in event viewer over the past 24 hours: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------The description for Event ID 27745 from source Windows Share

Reporting Services Sharepoint Add-in not showing links in Sharepoint Central Administration

Hi. I've just installed RS Sharepoint Add-in on Sharepoint farm and have the issue, that links to configure RS in Sharepoint are not showed in Central Administration Site->Application Management, and RS features can't be activated for web app. My configuration is: A separate DBMS on Windows 2008 SP2 x64, SQL 2008 SP1 x64, with MOSS and RS dbs. Web frontend: Win 2008 SP2 x64, Sharepoint 2007 SP2, RS 2008 SP1. What I did: installed RS and RS Sharepoint Add-in on web frontend, configured RS to Sharepoint mode (http://frontend:portnumber/Reportserver displays reports catalogs, reports shows message about configuring RS to Sharepoint mode), tried to set Sharepoint from central admin - links were not displayed. Reinstalled the add-in and tried to configure again - links not displayed. Reinstalled the add-in from the account used to install MOSS - links not displayed. Please help.
