Checkout icon displayed in wrong position

Since upgrading to SharePoint 2010 I have noticed that the checkout icon is sometimes displayed below the document icon rather than overlaid on the bottom right corner. It seems that this happens whenever another column wraps text onto two or more lines.

Although I never noticed it with SharePoint 2007 I suspect the same thing happens.

Is there a solution to this? While not a huge issue it looks poor when explaining to users what the icon is for.

Can't get an Icon to show for Desktop shortcut and Program Menu

I've created a SetupWizard, but can't get it to show the Icon for the shortcut on desktop and program menu. The installation goes fine without any errors, the only problem is the icon.

I've made a shortcut of my exe file in the Application Folder and dragged the shortcut to the Desktop folder, then on the shortcut properties, I assigned it an icon picture located in Application Folder.

Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

Create web site specific to mobile device, how to detect?

I have a website that is written in .Net 2.0 which uses all the nice rich functionality of the web (Ajax, javascript etc..).  However I have noticed that the site does not display very well on mobile devices.

So therefore I would like to create a more streamlined version of my site that is better tailored to these devices.  However how do detect that the user has come to the site via a mobile device and how can i redirect them to my tailored page

Many thanks in advance

Windows 2000 UI Innovations: Enhance Your User's Experience with New Infotip and Icon Overlay Shell

Windows 2000 includes some helpful new UI features you can customize and implement in your own applications. In this article you'll see how to provide infotips for files, after making the appropriate registry entries. Then create a custom column handler extension, resulting in a new column for the Explorer's Details view. In order to further extend the shell, additional UI goodies will also be examined and implemented including: search handlers, cleanup handlers, folder customizations using property sheet handlers and icon overlays, and context menu shell extensions. All the code samples are rolled up into a handy package which we've named, by tradition, ShellToys.

Add an empty line in Gridview on specific dayofweek

Hey all,

Havin quite a bit of trouble with this one.  I have a bunch of days that I worked in my database...mostly monday-friday and some saturdays.  What I want the gridview to do is add an empty line between each sunday and monday so that it seperates out my work weeks and makes it easier to read in the gridview.  I got some help here a few days ago on how to clone the db etc and I have all that working properly but I can't seem to wrap my head around how to do add these empty lines in the proper spots.  Here is my code so far:

private DataTable AddEmptyRow()
        DataTable originalDataTable = GetItems();
        DataTable newDataTable = originalDataTable.Clone();
        DateTime testdate = Convert.ToDateTime("7/20/2010");

            for (int i = 0; i < originalDataTable.Rows.Count; i++)
                DayOfWeek day = testdate.DayOfWeek;

                if (day == DayOfWeek.Sunday)
                    DataRow newDataRow = newDataTable.NewRow();

Using SqlDataSource as the Datasource to Accordion

The accordion does not renders. What am I missing? I want to use a parent child kind of accordion. Perhaps the child is not defined correctly, but I would like to see at list the seven tabs with the name of each organ system show up. The numbers of records for each organ system varies and I need a text box for each organ/tissue to be displayed, so I can insert in a findings table.

Here is what I have

new protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
            ModalPanel.Visible = false;
            ds1 = GetSqlOrganSystems();

protected SqlDataSource GetSqlOrganSystems()

         SqlDataSource dsL = new SqlDataSource();
            dsL.ID = "ds1";
            //#DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"Organ_System_ID" DataBinder.Ev

Accordion Control with Panel...Add an Update Panel?

I have an accordion control in my web site.  And in one of the panels, I have a drop down list box where, when the user selects an item, it updates the labels right below the ddlistbox.  I have it so that it maintains the scroll position when the ddlistbox has an autopostback, but it's very obvious that the whole page posts back.

My question is, can I/should I just enclose the ddlistbox and the labels (and a couple of text boxes) in an AJAX update panel?  I already have a ToolScriptManager (because of the accordion control), so I don't need to have another script manager, right?  I can just put the update panel (with the other controls inside of it) right in the accordion panel, right?  Then when the ddlistbox posts back it won't have the delay of the whole page posting back?  And it'll still execute the event handler for the listbox selection change?

Does this sound right?  I'm just looking to make the post back "invisible", and I would like to do a partial postback of just these few controls.

Thanks in advance! :)

setting scroll position for a ListBox

I have a ListBox control showing 10 rows.  I have 30 rows total in the listbox.  How do I programmatically adjust the scroll to show the last ten rows?

Some sources have suggested that I set the SelectedItem.  But I am already making selections (myListBox.Items[28].Selected = true, myListBox.Items[29].Selected = true, etc); the listbox scroll is positioned on Item[0] not the first selected item.  I have also tried setting myListBox.SelectedItem in addition to the multiple selection just mentioned but that does not have any affect either.

display an icon in gridview - selectively

I've created an ExpenseReport application which allows users to attach receipts to Expense Report Lineitems. These are contained in a gridview using a template field:

<asp:TemplateField HeaderText="File" InsertVisible="False">
                    <asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server"></asp:TextBox>
                <asp:HyperLink ID="HyperLink" ImageUrl='<%# Eval("filename", "~/workflow/Images/attachment.jpg") %>'
                runat="server" NavigateUrl='<%# Eval("filename", "http://workflowserver/AtWork/workflow/ExpenseReport/retrieveattachment.aspx?attachment={0}") %>' Text="" />

The trouble I have is that the 'attachment.jpg' icon shows for every lineitem (even one that does not contain an attachment).

I would like to be able to selectively display this icon or show a different icon if there is NO attachment.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm kind of stuck... ;-)

Thank You.
