I have put a Content Editor WebPart on a page and I'm trying to insert a picture from the Rich text editor, but whenever I try this I get this error:
List does not exist.
The page you selected contains a list that does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user.
This also happens when inserting links. When I use Fiddler I can see that the error occurs somewhere in AssetPortalBrowser.aspx and It's likely that the last location used to insert pictures and links no longer exist. So the question is how do I reset the
location to point to a list on the current site, or any other list for that matter? I tried deleting and adding the WebPart on the page without any luck. Typing in a valid link in the link text box or setting the attribute "DefaultToLastUsedLocation" to "false"
in the call to AssetPortalBrowser.aspx did not work either. I read the solution at
http://mossipqueen.wordpress.com/2008/08/08/assetportalbrowser-error-list-does-not-exist/ (de- and re-activate Office SharePoint Server Publishing feature) but the feature is not activated on my web. Does anyone have a tip on what to do? This happens
on a live SharePoint environment so there may be some restrictions as to what I can
I am using: Windows Server 2003 R2; MOSS 2007
Following situation: I've got a Summary Links WebPart and want to link to a person, so I am clicking on "New Link" in the WebPart. The "New Link" Dialog appears. If I am clicking on "Create a link to a person" a new text field
appears. I am typing the desired Name e.g. "Martin Marc".
I know the aspx site of the "New Link" Dialog. It is CmsSlwpAddEditLink.aspx
My idea was to attach an eventhandler to the text box like this (written directly in the aspx-site (just for testing)):
var t = document.getElementById("ID");
This works. I tested it with a static site. Of course the function "setPersonLink" has to exist.
It doesn't work with SharePoint and I don't know why. I could imagine the following problems:
Im currently an intern at a company and i want to edit their wiki eviroment made in sharepoint. I can edit all I want, but now I want to add a list located on their company section.
To clarify: their wiki is located at //company//wikipedia and their department is located at //company//departments//my departpent
Now I linked a picture to the wiki wich i stored on their company sharepoint site, but now i want to show a webpart that i have on there on the wiki page.
Let's say its a list of assignements and i want it to show on the wiki but with a real time update, i want to be able to press new assignment on both the department and wiki side to update the list. '
Now im pretty new at all of this but i was hoping I could use the code editor to just copy and paste a standard list webpart and change the url to that of the department.
I believe we have SP 2007, i hope you guys can help me with this!
Sorry if im vague, ill be glad to clarify :)
I have imagebuttons as links and i added the attributes for mousedown, up and out. That works fine. I cant seem to figure out how that the imagebutton itself, when pushed, stays down and returns to normal when the user clicks another link....
what I was thinking of doing is calling a method on the onclick event of the button and letting it check whether there is another button pushed down then to send the found link button to its orginal state.
I figured doing the call and checking of the buttons would be long winded with the method, so there must be an easier way to do this ?

I'm exploring the usage of UpdatePanels in WebParts for MOSS 2007. The code I have so far for adding a test update panel is this:
LinkButton goButton; goButton = new LinkButton(); goButton.ID = "butGo"; goButton.Text = "Go"; goButton.Command += new CommandEventHandler(goButton_Command); goButton.Click += new EventHandler(goButton_Click); &

I am working on sharepoint 2007 and I was editing the webpart of the software and after adding the predefined employee search table, the server has crashed while trying to access the server remotely with the following error message:
Error in / Application
However, while trying to login locally I have no problem and can easily login.
What will be the course of action in fixing this error.
Also the site is complaining of an invalid certificate even after adding an exception.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I looked the other topic and it doesn't answer my problem.
When I receive an email with hyper-links in them they seldom connect and only if the full link is available can I copy & paste it into my browser. Soemtimes there is just a comment with the link behind it and it's impossible to pick up the full link
details. A box appears saying that Outlook is blocking this action and I should refer to my administrator.
I am the administrator and have too little knolwedge to know what I would need to do do to create the bock so please help to sort out this annoying and time consuming issue.
we have published our sharepoint site outside domain.
Unfortunately big problems with links in document library appeared.
The url for outside users is "it.company.cz", the internal url is "sp001:55680".
When I open the page and select Shared Documents, the site is still it.company.cz. But when select any folder in document library the site url changes to sp001:55680.
Strange is that the mouseover url is correct but when I click it, it changes to internal url.
Mouseover url: http://it.compay.cz/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx?RootFolder=%2fShared%20Documents%2fProjects&FolderCTID=&View=%7bBEBFF1D2%2d5910%2d4A36%2dB049%2d971F95E752E7%7d
After click url: http://sp001:55680/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx?RootFolder=%2fShared%20Documents%2fProjects&FolderCTID=&View=%7bBEBFF1D2%2d5910%2d4A36%2dB049%2d971F95E752E7%7d
I have a requirement to create a Outlook Task , from a custom webpart through code .

I've got a single user who's not able to manage his links in MOSS 2007. The links I speak of are gotting to via
users have no issue.
I read somewhere that this might be caused by the user in question having added an improperly formated link. My issue is how can I check for that condition and correct it? Any thoughst
would be much appreciated.
Actually, I set access to some of the WebParts to desired group of SP users. (Web Part edition->Advance->last option on the bottom)
Is there any way to list this access? I'd like to have some kind of list with WebParts and users signed to its.
