Hi all.. I'm relatively new to full text search capabilities of SQL 2010 R2 and I just wanted to ask, how can i utilize CONTAINSTABLE further?
Let's say I have this table with values:
2 Toyota Prius
I have this SQL statement as part of my stored procedure:
FROM Cars AS FT_TBL
INNER JOIN CONTAINSTABLE(Cars, *, @Keywords)
ON FT_TBL.ID = KEY_TBL.[KEY]
ORDER BY KEY_TBL.RANK DESC;
...where @Keywords is varchar(50)
When I try to execute this stored procedure :
execute dbo.searchCar @Keywords = N'"lexus"'
I get the result Lexus.
Now my question is: if i want 'LEX' or 'RIUS' as my @Keyword, what else do I need to add to my sql statement to produce a result? Currently, this sql statement that I have doesn't work for the said keywords. Doesn't containstable does this for me automatica
