Looking for developer who can implement Amazon S3 integration

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 19, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

This assignment is about creating a module in an ASP.NET/C# Web Forms 4 application that will allow users to upload large files to Amazon S3.

Additionally, the module will have the ability to move, rename and delete files from the S3 bucket.

Two very important requirements are:

  1. All files must be uploaded directly to Amazon S3 from the end user's computer. NOT to the server first, then to Amazon S3.
  2. Some validation must be performed before uploading files i.e. file size and file type must be within "acceptable policies".

Please contact me only if you have actual Amazon S3 API experience. The code will be written in ASP.NET/C# Web Forms 4 therefore strong skills in ASP.NET/C# is a must.

All code will have to comply with application's standards and conventions.

It is also very important to note that the files will be very large video files -- typically ranging from 200MB to 2GB. Therefore, the code must be robust enough so that upload process should resume if network issues come up during the upload process.

CLR Integration With Microsoft SQL Server

Transact-SQL provides as much flexibility as possible but, because it is not a real programming language, it has some shortcomings about many issues (memory management, exception handling, debugging, file processing (or streaming), object-orientation (classes), or thread management). Transact-SQL also lacks features of normal libraries (arrays, collections, serialization, expressions, or string manipulations, etc).

Creating and Using an ASP.NET Web Service in Visual Web Developer

In addition to letting you create Web pages, Microsoft Visual Studio also lets you create Web services that use ASP.NET XML. Creating a Web service in Visual Studio is similar to creating a Web page. You can also use the Microsoft Visual Web Developer Web development tool to reference and use Web services that are in a Visual Web Developer solution, on your local computer or in a local or external UDDI directory. In this walkthrough, you will create the Web service in one solution and use it in another.

Tasks illustrated in this walkthrough include:

Creating a simple XML Web service in Visual Web Developer.

Creating a separate Web site that uses the Web service.

Visual Web Developer 2010 Express "Copy Web Site" using different login

I created a site and am trying to grant another pesron access to upload changes to it without giving them my super-user login.

I made a login for her but I can't test whether it works or not because no matter how much I "disconnect" in the Copy Web Site page of VWD 2010, reconnecting to the same site always logs in as my superuser account without prompting me for a login again.

How do I test is the account it set up correctly before having her try to upload to it?    I want to force the login to remote site dialog to pop up again to test her account.

Any ideas?

How to implement custom HttpContext for each request under class that implements IHTTPHandler

Hello All,

I created an application and implemented IHTTPHandler for all incoming request ending with ".aspx" extension.

Under "ProcessRequest" module, I am creating an instance of HttpContext (with URL attributes different from my application's URL i.e. if I am working on localhost then speciying Yahoo.com as its URL) and assigning it to "context" which comes as method argument.

After redirection, an error is generated. Also, the custom HTTPContext is not passed to the requested page (default.aspx, in my case.)

Code is as follows.

    Public Sub ProcessRequest(ByVal context As System.Web.HttpContext) Implements System.Web.IHttpHandler.ProcessRequest
        Try
            Dim requestedUrl As String
            Dim targetUrl As String
            Dim urlLength As Integer
            'Save settings which will be used while redirecting to appropriate page
            requestedUrl = context.Request.RawUrl
            If requestedUrl.IndexOf("?") >= 0 Then
                targetUrl = requestedUrl.Substring(0, requestedUrl.IndexOf("?"))
            Else
                targetUrl = requestedUrl
            End If
            If targetUrl = Nothing Or targetUrl.Length = 0 Then
                targetUrl = requestedUrl
            End If
            urlLengt
