I am developing one website and made below mentioned configuration for enabling caching for Anonymous User.
1) Created a cached profile and enable caching, set cachebility as ServerAndPublic and kept duration of 180 seconds
2) Applied this cache profile to "site output cache ->Anonymous Cache Profile -> Select a page output cache profile"
Due to the above configuration pages in my site are getting cached for 180 seconds.
Now i am having one webpart on home page but each time i hit the page it gives me cache results in that webpart and do not postback to server and bring new results
I want to have server trip for that webpart compulsory as there are certain business conditions applied and if it will not postback those condition will not apply and webpart will not function properly or render properly according to condition.
Can anybody give me solution for this so that page/webpart postback and the serverside code executes.
Thanks & Regards
The AjaxControl Toolkit has been configured onto our SharePoint 2007 Server, however when we bring up a page with a WebPart+UserControl, we get the following exception:
 Exception Loading CPI RPI WebPart: System.Web.HttpCompileException: c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\a112516a\152cc84\App_Web_cpirpicalc.ascx.57bd6353.duu1hbuu.0.cs(138): error CS0433: The type 'AjaxControlToolkit.ToolkitScriptManager' exists in both 'c:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\AjaxControlToolkit\3.5.40412.0__28f01b0e84b6d53e\AjaxControlToolkit.dll' and 'c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\a112516a\152cc84\assembly\dl3\4bec602a\25bcac65_13efca01\AjaxControlToolkit.DLL'
The userControl+Ajax Portion of the WebPart works correctly when brought up under ASP.NET but not SharePoint.
Is there anyway to force this to go to the correct version?
I have created a Basic webpart page and added Content editor webpart to extend the functionality of Advanced Search webpart. This is working fine. Also added OOB Search Paging webpart int his page. But when the number of items returned by the Search Core
results webpart exceeds the Page size (10) then when I click on the next link in the Paging webpart then all results are lost and retrieved from All Sites scope. Is there any way to hook into the Search paging webpart.?
Please note that in the Content Editor webpart I have used custom search scope.
I need help with regard to this.
Thanks in advance!.
This might be another novice question but i really googled and searched this site and didnt find any answers (even though topics close to this are discussed, this one isnt).
Scenario: I have a webpart i wrote that shows people who has birthday and provides sorting tools (in exact month/ exact day/ name contains string). This webpart has to be displayed as the page's content (in the center, its ~900px wide). This page must have
the site menu on the left as well so users can navigate freely.
I tried to create a new webpart page in MOSS and successfully placed the webpart there, but the page wont have the left site menu.
I need that left menu!
I tried creating a web page from a template with a strip (sorry cant find better word to explain that) on the left but that strip only allows to add more webparts, and doesnt allow to show the menu there.
How do i show the website menu (the one with links to Tasks, Lists, Users etc, the one that always shows itself on the /sites/sitename/ page and when viewing Lists) on my web part page?
Or do i have to go other way, meaning, not by using a web part page, but with some other way, like create an aspx page or something?
I'm testing a MOSS2007 --> SP2010 migration - took a backup of a site collection db, attached it to the new SQL server and ran test-spcontentdatabase against it. it reported several custom webparts as not being installed on the new farm. I
deleted the pages containing those webparts from the production MOSS sites, and then deleted those pages from the recycle bin - but test-spcontentdatabase still reports those webparts as being referenced. Searching the database directly does find references
on the pages I deleted in the WebParts table. When I join the WebParts table with the AllDocs table I see the deleted pages referenced - but they don't exist (that I can tell) either on the site or in the recycle bin.
How can I get these items out of the report?
I have this issue that CQWP is rendring items that it should not render. I test this with a read-only user, that should NOT see draft pages or pages with different permissions. But the read-only user do see the items, but when I click on the link I get access
denied. This access denied is correct, but why does the page items appear in the CQWP at all?
1) I use OOTB CQWP (inherits from ContentByQueryWebPart in my .webpart file) : "<type name="Microsoft.SharePoint.Publishing.WebControls.ContentByQueryWebPart ....." and I have my custom xsl to get the look and feel I need
2) The issue with page items showing when status = drafts only appear when using the PublishingExpirationDate field. When I try creating new pages and give them status draft by using "check in to share draft" (logged on as an contributer/approver
user), this item wil NOT appear in the CQWP for the read-only user. When I change a pages' status from approved to draft, this item will still be shown in the CQWP, but this will point correctly to the published version. But after the pages'
expired date (PublishingExpirationDate) is expired, the page gets status "draft" (handeled by a timer job I guess), and this page item will still be rendered in the CQWP, but sending the read-only user to an access-
I just need to get the web part back! I accidentally deleted it! Please help!
If there is no way to do this, I could start over. I tried to add a new web part but the "Rich Text Box" isn't showing up in the "Content Query Web Part" box.
HELP ME! I NEED TO GET THE WEBPART BACK!!!!!
I'm trying to hide some ribbon buttons from a publishing web part page(a page thats url ends with: /pages/default.aspx), and i just can't seem to do it.
I created a feature with custom actions to hide the buttons but it doesn't work for publishing web part pages.
Can someone give me a working example on how to hide the Make Homepage button from a webpartpage?
Here is the code i used that's currently not working, in 3 different formats, neither of them works for me:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
