Kerberos Authentication with WCF Client Fault Exception

Hello, I am using Kerberos as the Authentication mode for a WCF Client to interact with an ASMX Web Service. I am using customBinding in the WCF Client. I am getting the below mentioned Fault Exception when I invoke the HelloWorld Method by creating a Proxy using SVCUTIL.   System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHeaderException: Server unavailable, please try later ---> System.ApplicationException: WSE841: An error occured processing an outgoing fault response. ---> System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.InvalidOperationException: WSE914: This instance of derived key token does not support encryption, decryption, or key wrapping. Exception when access to sharepoint by Client Object Model

Hello ,

  - I have a windows Application .

  - In the  Form  load , I write the following code to aceess sharepoint site :

      ClientContext clientContext = new ClientContext("URL");

     Web site = clientContext.Web;

    clientContext.Load(site);

    clientContext.ExecuteQuery();

    MessageBox.Show("Title: {0}", site.Title);

TCP Client connecting to a dynamic ip - exception thrown

Im making a simple chat server for quite some time now and Im constantly having some easy problems I cant comprehend.

      client = new TcpClient();
      client.Connect(IPAddress.Parse("93.139.62.46"), 15555);
It throws:
"A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, <br/>
or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 93.139.62.42:15555"

Im connecting to myself over the internet I suppose but it wont work.

The thing is, Im not listening to this IP. Im listening to my LAN IP because Im connected to the internet through LAN so I cant listen to my global IP

because it throws an exception that the IP is not valid.

I suppose the real question is am I doing this right, and if not, what should i do?

How to propagate WCF service exception details to the client?

We are working on WCF service hosted in Sharepoint 2010 and need to propagate exception information from server to the client. Currently when exception happens on the server we get the following generic error message: “The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error. For more information about the error turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client.”

For standalone (not Sharepoint hosted) WCF web service there is web.config configuration file where IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults=”true” can be set. But when WCF service is hosted in SP 2010 using dynamic configuration with service factory (MultipleBaseAddressBasicHttpBindingServiceHostFactory) there are no configuration file and we are totally puzzled how and where can we set IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults=”true” to propagate exception details to the client.

Exception thrown on client proxy call to open

Exception thrown System.InvalidOperationException: The communication object cannot be modified while it is in the Opened state.

The following code throws this exception:

                    dataAcesssProxy = new CompetellaDataAccessService.CompetellaDataAccessClient();

Use jQuery and ASP.NET AJAX to build a client side Repeater

By sending only data to the client, you can profoundly reduce the size of what you send and see a substantial increase in performance. You also allow yourself the ability to easily add features like light-weight sorting and paging on the client. This can not only improve your users' experience, but reduce server load and bandwidth requirements.

Client Side Gridview Pagination using JQuery

I would like to show how to use Client Side Gridview Pagination using Jquery Table Pagination Plugin by using Ryan Zielke.

This can not only improve your users' experience, but reduce server load and bandwidth requirements.

To that end, I'm going to walk you through these four steps to effectively implementing a client side Repeater, using ASP.NET AJAX and jQuery:

EXCEPTION HANDLING IN C#

Every self-respected programmer should include exception handling techniques. Sometimes your application will generate an error. Regardless of who was responsible for this error, the programmer or the user, it is up to the first to include the necessary exception handling techniques to keep his/her program from crashing. The .Net environment provides useful techniques for avoiding disastrous errors such as try-catch statements and user-defined exceptions.

Practical Multithreading for Client Apps

Writing applications that use multiple threads is often considered an advanced programming task, prone to errors. In this month's column, I'll focus on a practical application of multithreading in Windows® Forms applications with some real benefits, while attempting to keep things simple. My goal is to present multithreading in an approachable way that addresses a very common need: writing applications with a user interface that remain responsive to the user.

Global Exception Handling with ASP.NET

After your global exception handler has done its work, you'll want to redirect the users of your website to a friendly page that tells them that something has gone wrong, and then provide them with customer support information as well as a link back to your web application's home page.

SQL Server 2005 Try and Catch Exception Handling

I'm pretty excited to see that there is some real error handling for T-SQL code in SQL Server 2005. It's pretty painful to have your wonderfully architected .NET solution tainted by less-than-VBScript error handling for stored procedures in the database. The big difference being the addition of TRY..CATCH blocks. Let's take a look:

Adding Client-Side Confirmation When Deleting

The JavaScript confirm(string) function displays its string input parameter as the text inside a modal dialog box that comes equipped with two buttons - OK and Cancel (see Figure 1). The confirm(string) function returns a Boolean value depending on what button is clicked (true, if the user clicks OK, and false if they click Cancel).

want to execute url without showing that page or url to client.

hello friends,

I need ur help,what i want to do is to execute a url ("To send a text message to client") on client registration but without showing that url page, in short executing url without displaying any page or url to the client.

please help and thanks in advance.

Client script not running

Dear all,

in my MVC 2 application, and in the shared Master Page I wrote this little script for menu handling :

<script src="../../Scripts/jquery-1.4.1.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () {

     $('#nav li').hover(
         function () {
             //show its submenu
             $('ul', this).slideDown(100);

         },
        function () {
           //hide its submenu
            $('ul', this).slideUp(100);
         }
     );

 });</script>

The script, that shows menu items when the
