I have a MOSS 2007 based intranet. On the home page of the site, I have a web part that is just a bulleted list of quick web links to internal and external resources. For instance, I have a bullet item for internal resources, and under that I have links
to our we based billing system, the account management system, and the IP security camera. I have another bullet for News, and under that are links to major newspaper and other news websites.
For some reason, one of my users sees eevrything esle on the page, except that web part. She has the ability to edit much of the content on that site, so if I have her go into edit mode for the home page, the web part appears. If she subsequently exits edit
mode, the web part remains. But if she closes Internet Explorer and re-opens it, the web part is missing again.
This is the same, irresepctive of which client machine she is on, whether it is her workstation, laptop, or Terminal Server, and whether it is with Internet Explorer 7 or 8.
