I am consuming a third party web service wsdl using my .net aps.net page. And I am getting following error message. Cannt get to resolve it. Its working on my machine but not in my development machine. I have installed the certificate also in certificates on that machine. Can somone please help.?
Error --> The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.
we I have asmx web service, this seems to be working fine for 25 client machines but one site keeps failing. The client gets a small dataset and tries to send it across to server to process. The dataset saved in XML file only makes 450 - 550kB. The web service is contacted twice in a short time every half an hour. The other smaller dataset (50kB) goes across everytime without any troubles. This site is not trying to send the biggest dataset, other site are sending much bigger datasets without problem. The catch is this failing site keeps retrying for 20 times (10 hours) in average and then eventually goes across. I don't think the service webmethod is erroring out as that is all wrapped up in the try and catch and the exception is not getting thrown, also every other try for the exact same webmethod used by any other client site seems to be working fine.

I recently changed the max upload size for attachments to TFS work items on our SharePoint site. I did this by going to the
http://tfsserver1:8080/tfs/ProductCollection/WorkItemTracking/v1.0/ConfigurationSettingsService.asmx?op=SetMaxAttachmentSize URL and entering the new size in bytes.
This worked a treat, but not I cannot upload any documents to another site on the same server.
I can open and save documents that are already there, but when I click the 'Upload' button it gives a white page with 'An unexpected error has occurred.' on it.
Is there something else I have to set when I increase the upload limit for work items?
I am able to deploy reports and run them as the farm admin that I did the Grant entry for in CA > App Mgt > Reporting Services > Grant DB access.
However, my AD personal user that has Local admin on every server has integrated SA security to the SSRS and Sharepoint Database is aÃÂ Farm admin get's this error trying to run the reoprts.
An unexpected error occurred while connecting to the report server. Verify that the report server is available and configured for SharePoint integrated mode.
Now if I log in as the farm admin ( the user I did the grant on) I can run and add the reports to the SSRS webpart... Am I going to have to add every user through that Grant feature? With integrated Sharepoint security there is no /reports virtual to decide what users can runÃÂ what reports so I'm not sure..
SomeÃÂ other details.. I'm using Kerberos security, and CA > App mgt > Reporting Services > Manage integration mode is set to Trusted (not Windows).. otherwise .. I can't pull up Default settings under that Reporting Services section of CA.
I also d
I'm trying to create a new SP Feature that consists of the following components -- an InfoPath form, a document library (list) where these forms will be used, and a custom Task list (that will be used in a workflow that is triggered when the form is submitted).
Each of these components was created in a DEV env and is working. I then created my feature in Visual Studio 2008 and successfully created the WSP file. I then (successfully) installed the WSP (I got no errors on install and all seemed well --
the "solution" shows up under Central Admin and shows as being deployed.
When I go to site settings, the feature shows up, but deactivated. WHen I attempt to activate it, however, I get this error in the SP Logs:

Migrating Access 2007 db to SQL Server 2005. Things go fine until it attempts to connect to SQL Server, then I get this:
"An unexpected error occurred. Please send the log file to product support.
For more information, see "Getting SSMA Assistance" in the product documentation.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
I have no idea where this log file is as I'm running this on a Windows 7 machine. A search of the entire C drive yields nothing.
I'm using VIC-WIN7\SQLEXPRESS for the Server Name which is what is used in SQL Server 2005 Management Studio Express.
Thank you very much
LocalReport, SQL 2005, Custom Assembly compiled in Framework 2.0, with this I can add the reference to the report.
Client (WinForm Framework 4.0) In the same path of my application, I have the custom assembly (that uses the report)
When I try to get the DataSources, getParameters, or SetParameters, I always get the same error. The LoadDefinition(stream) does not load anything. Any Idea?
An unexpected error occurred while compiling expressions. Native compiler return value: ‘[BC40000] 'RequestMinimum' is obsolete: 'Assembly level declarative security is obsolete and is no longer enforced by the CLR by default. See
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=155570 for more information.'.’.
I also tried to enable the NetFx40_LegacySecurityPolicy in the config of my application, and nothing change.
If I don't use the Function from the custom assembly I don't have any problem.
Thanks in advance.
Hi all, I have a SINGLE web service that I call through two different programs. I input the same values into the service and call a sevice method. One call fails every time, one call works every time. I have installed Fiddler2 and
copied the requests and responses from each. They are identical except for the [VsDebuggerCausalityData] header value and the [Authorization:] value (data below) what is this error? What can I do to address it? Why does it work for one app, but
not the other when the requests are the same. I guess since the Authorization is different it could be a security problem. But I'm not so sure because I'm not getting a security type error. The first trace is the working example (look at the response)
the second is the failing call. I have changed the Authorization values.

I'm receiving the following error occasionally when calling web service using a .NET 4.0 web application.
"The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send."
All of the articles I've read regarding this issue are for the Framework 1.1.
Is there any solution to this issue for using .NET framework 4.0?
Thanks in advance.
