We have a site that makes use of reporting services. Some reports are timing out but their retrieval and rendering are very quick. The time is all in SSRS processing. My last execution log showed TimeDataRetrieval = 347 / TimeProcessing =
654897 / TimeRendering = 59731
We are using SSRS Version 9.00.4035.00 and CPU averages around 40% on this 8 core system - 28 GB Ram - Xeon 3.00 GHz - Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition - The RSReportServer.config has default memory variables in it.
What could possibly be causing this performance issue in processing? I ran a trace on ReportingServices and it's tempDB and all durations are < 100 MS but a transaction holds onto chunkData for the longest time. When we run this in our lab it's very
