Command line publish

HiI am new to DOT NET web publishing (not to software development).  We need through command line to build our site (which we already do using msbuild.exe), but the resulting files are way too many and it takes our to ftp it to the server.I am able to publish the website and reduce its size by ~90%; however, we need to do this through command line not manually using the GUI.I have read many postings but noone is clear on how to do it (and msbuild seems to no be able to do this). Can anyone provide me a link.Thank youPS. We are using Visual Studio 2010 and DOT NET4.0

Driving install of standard web install project from command-line

I have a VS project (web service) for which I created a standard VS Web Setup project.  That project creates the typical setup.exe and project.msi files.  When run interactively, the setup prompts the user to select an IIS Site, a Virtual directory and the Application Pool.  I'd like to drive this setup silently from a script, passing the necessary args on the command-line such that the user isn't prompted.  I've played some with the args in an attempt to set those three prompts using properties, but without luck. Can anyone tell me if there are public properies on the MSI that would allow me to set those prompts via the command-line?

ReportBuilder 2.0: open server report via command line?

Hello,is it possible to launch ReportBuilder 2.0 and pass the server report to open via command line?Searching the forums I have found this blog-entry (Launching Report Builder from the command line), but I think it is for ReportBuilder 1.0, because SQL Server 2005 is mentioned. I have tried it anyway, but ReportBuilder 2.0 just starts with an empty report. If I specify a rdl-file from the local file system the report will open fine:MSReportBuilder.exe d:\temp\samplereport.rdlthanks in advance and best regards,Gerald

Maintenace Plan not executing properly from command line.

I am running SQL 2005 Standard SP3 on Microsoft Windows NT 5.2 (3790) This is a two node active/active cluster. I had a maintenance plan that was called from the command line by a third party scheduler (Tidal) and everything ran fine.  Then a new copy of the maintenance plan was created with additional code and named with _new at the end.  The new plan ran fine interactively (right click and execute).  The old plan was renamed to _old and the new plan renamed to remove the _new.  The scheduler will no longer run the maintenance plan.  I have attempted to run the plan manually from the command line, as the scheduler would do.  It finds the plan, says its starting and then runs for 6 seconds (should be about 50 minutes) and says it completed successfully, but obviously did not.  The history of the plan does not show any execution.  I have tried exporting the plan, dropping it and reimportng (jiggling the handle), I have also exported he old plan and dropped it, thinking there might be some internal name glitch.  I have no idea what is going on, but need to get the plan to run from the command line--forgetting the scheduler for the moment, the manual run from the command line does not work.  (I'll worry about the scheduler later).  The command that is being run is: dtexec /SQL “Maintenance Plans\ProvDUpeCln_CKN
