Ok, so I've been through
http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/search/default.aspx?sort=pn&alpha=.net+framework&filter=filterno but I'm still confused.
.NET 2.0 (all SPs) goes EOS in April 2011 according to the lifecycle page.
.NET 3.5 SP1 contains .NET 2.0 SP2 and installs it irrelevant of whether .NET 2.0 was already on the PC.
.NET 3.5 SP1 is required to be in support after Aprill 2011.
So, from April 2011 is software targetting .NET 2.0 SP2 supported or not? As far as I can tell, it must be because 3.5 SP1 doesn't have it's own CLR as such, it uses 2.0.
