at the moment i stuck at the following problem:
I try to call a Crystal Report (designed with Crystal Reports 2008 SP3) from my SharePoint aspx-page. In my 32-Bit Development-Eviroment everything works fine, but now i'm trying to deploy the solution to a MOSS207 64-Bit enviroment (Windows Server 2008
64Bit, IIS7, MOSS 64Bit).
When i try to call the report i get the following error message:
Exception Details: CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LoadSaveReportException: An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime. Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient, or the Crystal Reports runtime
is not installed correctly. Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required. Please go to

I've asked SAP for a solution of this problem and got back two possible ways to solve this problem:
1. Compile the application in 32-Bit mode -> this does not work with SharePoint (Error: Can't find assambly)
2. Run the Web Application in 32-Bit mode -> this does nit work with SharePoint (In
I installed the cr4 from the SAP and integrated ok, but when i try to create a report from add new item>>Crystall reports >> Blank Report it takes me to crystal report designer inside vs2010 IDE which is cool. Ok, however, there comes 6 warnings:
1)Reference assembly CrystalDecisions.Shared could not be resolved because i has a dependency on system.web ....
2)Reference CrystalDecisions.CrystalReporfts.Engine- which is not in the currently targeted framework! My target framework is .net framework 4 profile=client; and
3)Reference CrystalDecions.ReportSource .......
When i run my project with these warnings, 25 errors are generated most of them reflecting to an idea that Report class is not found!
My question is where am i going wrong? It seems that it cannot even find the report class! What is the problem. Kindly do help. Thank you in advance
I have a web application developed in Visual studio 2005. I need to convert it to Visual Studio 2008. The problem is that the application is using crystal reports. When I'm trying to run a page with CrystalReportViewer I am getting the following error:
Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=22.214.171.124, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)
How do I solve this problem?

Having a very wierd problem. I have an application that uses Crystal Reports and it uses what I have found to be a common scenario (I am not a CR expert in any way). I have an ASPX page that gathers options for the report, and then it goes and gets the data and if there is some, a button appears for them to launch the report. On clicking that button, the code sets some values in the HttpResponse.Context area, then performs a Server.Transfer to another ASPX page that is our Report Template. This page contains the CR stuff and it generates a PDF version of the report. It then does the following code:
With HttpContext.Current.Response .ClearContent() .ClearHeaders() .ContentType = "application/pdf" .AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "inline; filename=Report.pdf") .BinaryWrite(s.ToArray) .End() E
I wonder how to add a project template called Intelligence Reports, something like that, to Visual studio 2008. I have SQL 2008 installed. Do I need to install some updates to get Intelligence Reports template to Visual studio 2008 ?
I have a project develop with Visual Studio 2003, when i convert the project to Visual Studio 2005 is work well. But when i convert to Visual Studio 2008, the crystal report when have pass parameter will prompt the parameter field to re-type then show the report.
But in this converted project i create a new report and pass the parameter is ok. That means i wan re-do all report @.@??
Does someone can help me solve this problem??
i use crystal report integrated with vs.2008, and i want to make chart with dual axis (bar & line).
i have used bar chart and input the data with 2 values..
then in chart options > template, i activated the dual axis..
my question is, how i can change the 2nd value with line chart not bar chart??
i'd tried to find the right settings in "chart options" but still can't find the solution.
for information in "chart options" there are 4 sub menu : template, general,titles,grid..
i read in a tutorial there's more sub menu called "series" in crystal report (stand alone version)..
is it possible doing it in Crystal Report VS. 2008?
please,, i need your advice and solution..
I need to develop 3 pages.
On the first page user defines atmost 7 column names to be displayed on the report. I'm saving these names in a Sql DB table 'Columns' with Column_Nm and Column_ID as Table columns.
On the second page I'm retrieving column_Nm from the table and displaying them on the page so that the user enters the data. This data is saved in another table 'Summary' with the Columns column1 through column7.
on the 3rd page I need to show a report of 'Summary' table.
How do I dynamically replace column1 through column7 names with that of 'Column_Nm' on the report?
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a series of Crystal Reports that I can view/edit using Visual Studio 2005 with no issues. The method I'm using is to simply click on the *.rpt file and it opens in the VS crystal editor with no issues. The problem I'm having is that we are upgrading to Visual Studio 2008, and when I open the *.rpt file in 2008 it opens as a binary file. I guess I'm used to everything else in Visual Studio prompting me to convert the older version to the newer version, so I'm not sure what to do in this case.
Is this normal? Is there an easy conversion method that I'm simply overlooking? Am I screwed? Who invented liquid soap, and why?
Answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated...
Hi and thanks.
I'm getting an error on serveral reports that I built in VWD2005 (express) using the reportviewer control. Trying to edit the rdlc file in VS2010, VS2010 asks if i want to convert the file to RDLC 2008 format and I click ok. When I build the site, I get this error (and of course also when the report is ran):
Error 1 The report definition is not valid. Details: The report definition has an invalid target namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/reporting/2008/01/reportdefinition' which cannot be upgraded. C:\inetpub\wwwroot\mastercardlcm\Reports\WorkLists\OpenSRStatus.rdlc 1
Here is my web.config concerning the RDLC assemblies, etc.
<add path="Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd" verb="*" type="Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.HttpHandler, Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=126.96.36.199, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" validate="false"/>

A can grow field in the details section of a crystal report may have so much text that the section will be larger than the remaining space available on the page (the space below the previous record). The section has vertical lines on it with Extend to bottom of section when printing set to true. The section starts on a new page (and may continue on the following one). I want it to start on the page where the last record was laid out, and continue to the new page without leaving a gap with vertical lines on it. I'm using Crystal Reports 9 and I can't work out how to do it. Has anyone got a solution?
I am working on updating a reporting system that uses Crystal Reports. All of the 250+ reports were created in CR 8 and I have been opening up the old files in Visual Studio 2005 and updating the database location. All I have had to do with all connections to views and even a couple of stored procedures is create a new connection to the database and then update the old report's datasource location. The reason I need to update the location is so that the .NET application will use the correct driver. Everything has worked fine up until I got to one stored procedure. The old version of the report works perfectly with the stored procedure, but when I try to run the report using VS 2005 I keep getting errors.
First I connected to the database using the Oracle OLE DB provider, then updated the location of the stored procedure in the report. It then prompts me for the two parameter values for the stored procedure, both of which I keep as NULL so that the report parameters will be passed to the procedure. Then I get the following error:
Query Engine Error: 'ADO Error Code: 0x
Description: ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'STORED_PROCEDURE'
