unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application

I have an application written using Visual studio 2005 (in VB.Net). When I run it on any machine I get "unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application” and this same application successfully some other PCs   And these following processes I have already done: Repair and reinstall .net framework2.0 I also rebuild my application setup. Scan my PC with antivirus and install new updated antivirus I have format my pc and reinstall dotnet framwork2.0 and my project. And also download .net framework cleanup tool install it.     So if any one has solution excluding the above then plz give me as soon as possible.

Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application

I have developed a C-sharp application. But I am not sure how to run it using the .exe file. When I open the application from within Visual Studio 2008 IDE, I can first build the application and then under "debug" menu I select "start debugging". So it starts running. So I am able to run application that way. But if I put my cursor on the \bin\Debug\Application.exe , and do a right mouse click on "run as"  I get the error Unable to find a version of the  runtime to run this application.

I could be getting this error because I have not taken any steps to create a proper executable. I just went to \bin\Debug and found Application.exe and did right mouse click on "run as". Can you tell what steps need to be taken to create a proper executable, other than just "BUILD"

Showing Designer error for Silverlight App when trying to access resource which contains code e.Resu

Environment is: Silverlight 4, VS Studio 2010. Designer is showing error in a Silverlight App when trying to access a resource as below. And there are no build or runtime errors. Extensive research found that, in the "InvestorsProvider" class I am using wcf services, which has a callback method. In the call back method I am using this statement "this.MyProperty = e.Result" where e.Result is ObservableCollection. If I remove the e.Result it is not showing any designer problem. <UserControl.Resources> <local:InvestorsProvider x:Name="investorsProvider"></local:InvestorsProvider> </UserControl.Resources> Here is the error System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException [Async_ExceptionOccurred]Arguments: Debugging resource strings are unavailable. Designer workflow + unable to edit task

I use the SPD to create a custom workflow which will assign to-do task to users. The workflow is attached to a list library in a subsite and users only have view-only permission to the subsite (users are added to the subsite directly, not inside any sharepoint group).  In order for users to complete the assigned task, I have broken the permission inheritance and change users to have contribute permission on the Task list.   The workflow would trigger as expected and a new task is created for the user. The user can see the "edit task" link in the task item but when clicked "edit task", an "access denied" error occurs.   Under further investigation, I notice access are granted for sharepoint group e.g. site visitors, site members on URL http://....../workflow/workflow_name/newtask.aspx , and only when I create the workflow under the site administrator account. If I create the workflow under an account which also has "Full Control" to the subsite, No access are granted to the workflow library at all.   What permission levels do I need to create workflows in designer really? Does it make a difference if the workflow is on a top-root site or subsite? Full control on the top-root site or subsite?   Thanks in advance.

Initializing CommandBindings in XAML using a CommandBindingCollection static resource

Hi, I have defined a CommandBindingCollection object in <Window.Resources> and now I would like to use it as multiple controls' <Control.CommandBindings>.  Unfortunately, I can't find the right syntax. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Static and Dynamic Resources with Brush and Resource Dictionary

Hi, We're using a huge resource dicionary with all the styles and templates for our controls. Some of these are the images that we use for some buttons and icons in the application. As far as I know, Static and Dynamic resources have nothing to do with the ResourceDictionary and The Brush, i could use any of them, if i need the resource to load only when needed i could use dynamic and if i want it to load on initialization time i should use Static. But everytime i try to use a static resource to define a Fill of a rectangle my application crashes on initialization time (when it exectues the InitializeComponents). The resource i'm using is a DrawingBrush that is declared on my resource dictionary and the only way i could make it works is defining it as DynamicResource. What is the limitation? Its realy impossible to define a static resource on a fill property, and if its realy impossible, why?

cannot find resource login.aspx

I have set up users with the membership provider and thus have a database in my vwd2008 app named aspnetdb.mdf.  I added another "database2" to the app.  I set up a form to login called Default.aspx.  Once logged In the user is taken to Default2.aspx.  On Default2, I have a GridView connected to database2.  What I am doing is trying to view Default2 without logging in and prompt a response.  Instead I get the error 404 that login.aspx cannot be found.  HOw do I correct this? On Default2 Page Load......If Not Page.IsPostBack Then Response.Write("Gotcha") End If Does this have anything to do with me using two databases in the same web app ?

Security processor was unable to find a security header in the message

Recently on one of my machines, my client (WCF client) is having problem talking to WCF server. Both server and client are running on the same machine. The machine is Windows7 64 bit machine. It used to work fine until recently. The same software is working fine on all other machines with exactly same configuration. I am really confused here. Could someone please let me know what could be the problem?

Exception Type:

System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException, System.ServiceModel, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089

Security processor was unable to find a security header in the message. This might be because the message is an unsecured fault or because there is a binding mismatch between the communicating parties. This can occur if the service is configured for security and the client is not using security.

Runtime filter values differ from values setup in designer. SQL server 2005

I am confused as i have setup values for the filter criteria for company as 'JTWO' & 'STOC' in design mode of report builder however when i access the report from report manager the values that prompted  @ runtime are AARFT05F and ARRTUEID'.

any reason why report builder should change the filter criteria @ runtime.

Unable to find Control in List

I'm trying to define the parameters of my data source using a stored procedure. My Stored Procedure Syntax is perfect and i'm happy with that, i've just got trouble with connecting my parameters to my controls. I have 19 Parameters, of which i've managed to connect 17 to controls within my ASP.Net form (some to text boxes, some to ddls etc...)

However, i'm trying to connect a particular parameter to a control, but when i drop down my list of controls it's not visible? The control is within a hidden panel so i've un-hidden it and it's still not there. I've even commented out the panel and tried that but i can't find this control! I just cant seem to get this control to appear in the list.

Has any one seen anything like this before at all?

If you need any more information please let me know. (for clarirty i've attached screen grab)

Unable to sort RSS feed in Web Part or SP Designer 2007

I have an RSS Moss 2007 webpart to display feeds from http://www.fujitsu.com/uk/news/pr/uk-news-pr-rss.rss but the feed is coming in reverse date order. In Sharepoint designer when I try to sort by pubDate (descending), the sort order is arbitrary and it appears that the feed is being limited in size with the latest post being some 3 years ago.

Any help would be appreciated.
