Currently i am trying to create a website with domain login using Visual Studio 2010 and ASP.net 4.0 . I had a table in SQL that keep track of users with rights to enter this website based on thier employee number.
The administration role to maintain this rights table will be given to some non-IT department users via the website and i wish to make use of the "Select Users, Computers, or Groups" dialog box for these users to add any new user to the rights table.
I have 2 main reason to use the "Select Users, Computers, or Groups" dialog box if possible.
1- Allows the administrator is search and add users easily.
2- Retrieve information of the new users like employee number, employee name, email address without much validation in the web.
Can someone enlighten me on what are the references that i need like Active directory and how to pop up this dialog box and retrieving information from it as well using the web?
