I've been tearing my hair out over this one for the past couple of days...
I am using VS2008 & IIS7 with Windows 7 & IE8. I am debugging locally.
On a certain situation on my screen, VS cannot postback a page. I am getting the following error and have tried everything I can think of to resolve the issue, but to no avail.... I have used local IIS and also just the internal web server as well.
Unable to download pagename.aspx from localhost.
Unable to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.
Please try again later.
Somebody had to run into this before... Can someone please help????
We are using asp.net StateServer for asp.net session management. In our project we need to make sure that if a user is already logged in and if he is trying to acess the website from a different browser tab, we need to inform him that he is already logged in in another tab and use it instead of opening a new session. Consider the following scenarios:
1. User is logged on in tab1 and his session is still on, then user tries to logon from another tab, the browser sends the asp.net session_id cookie, In the page init i am checking if the Asp.net session Id cookie is present, if it is there i am checking if the it is a new Session (i.e. if the existing session timed out), if it is a new session then proceed with the user action else it means that the session in tab1 is still active so i am redirecting user to error page with appropriate message.
Now the problem with this approach is that, suppose session in tab1 is expired and user opens tab2 and performs some actions, now he goes back to tab1 and perform any action, i directly need to take him to log out page.
Please let me know how this can be achieved.
i have a page(A page) which has a linkbutton on it and i have added the following onattribute method which opens a new popup window(B page)
"onclick", "window.open('" & likeLink & "','newwindow','location=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,menubar=no,width=300,height=400,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,top=200,left=250,status=no'); return false;")
now on page B which has poped up there are some links
I need to know how to open my webpage always in full, when ever user enter my website url and hit enter i need to open my webpage in full...
Ok, I've seen a number of threads similar to this, but I think i have my situation narrowed down pretty tight.
- If i display this report with this function in Sharepoint via the Report VIEWER (or page viewer) web part...the functionality of the pop-up no longer works....
and heres the strange part...
If i put a report EXPLORER part in, and have it set to list the report with the function (also passing what report to open) into a report viewer web part...THE FUNCTION NOW WORKS!?
It's very strange indeed. So to summarize,
Hi again, i have a client that needs me to create a custom view on thier webpage similar to Microsoft Word.
It goes about that, when I click on an image it redirects me to another page and must create a custom view for a certain paragraph on that page. I am not sure how to do this and wonder if anyone knows how.
I am using C# programming language if that helps at all.
Is there a way to make a modal popup panel active on page load so that the user can't do anything until they deal with the popup dialog?
