We are developing a web application using ASP.NET where each registered user has an account with its data and its own documents associated. That documents are stored in the server in different folders and when a user accesses to the web app, he can see a document list where he can download all the documents he owns.
Actually, we want to add a new functionality to our application: edit documents online. That documents could be, for example, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc. documents. We want to know if you have any plugin or similar that allows us to implement such thing with acceptable results.
More specifically, we want the user to select a document from the list (for example, a .doc) and, when he presses a button "Edit", he should be redirected to another page where he can write or edit anything he wants. When he press the "Save" button, the document should be saved in the server overriding the old document. We know the user can actually download the document, modify it locally using Microsoft Word and then upload the document again, but we want to allow the user to edit his documents in an easier way. So, even if this process has to be done, it has to be transparent to the user.
