Use Data in a Column as Select Button in GridView

I don't want to use the built in "Select" hyperlink that's in the gridview, I'd like to just use the first data column, is there a way to do that or are we forced to use the automatically generated "Select" column.Thanks!

I need to be able to disable a button inside a repeater control when an item in the data is <1

For example, I have an inventory table. If any one of the items is less then one, I need to disable the button. <asp:Repeater id="repeater1" <ItemTemplate> <asp:Button id=btnSize /> </ItemTemplate> </asp:Repeater>

ListView.ItemTemplate with Button. Command doesn't execute when item is selected

I have a listview with an item template that contains a button: <ListView ItemsSource="{Binding AllProducts}"> <ListView.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid> <Button Content="Add Supplier" Command="{Binding AddSupplier}"/> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ListView.ItemTemplate> </ListView> When the listitem is not selected and the button is clicked, the command executes fine. However, if the listitem is selected, the command does not execute. I have tried putting click and mouse down event handlers on the button, but the events do not fire. Is there any way to make the command execute when the listitem is selected?

Trying to put a Form (paypal button) in a GridView ItemTemplate...

So I am trying to put these three paypal buttons in the gridview based on the information with the gridview and the database. For whatever reason, my first button is off-centered in IE and does not work (in firefox, it just doesn't work, but is positioned correctly). All the buttons under the first one work... This is frustrating and I am having issues with it. Any advice on how to fix the problem would be appreciated. I am using Visual Studio 2010 and VB.NET... My code is below.

<asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False"
            CellPadding="4" DataKeyNames="gameID" DataSourceID="SqlDataSource1"
            BackColor="White" BorderColor="Black" BorderStyle="Dashed" BorderWidth="2px">

Editing the Data in a GridView

In addition to deleting a GridView's underlying data, another common need is to allow end users to edit the data displayed in a GridView. With ASP.NET 1.x's DataGrid control, editing the data is certainly possible, but requires creating three event handlers and writing a dozen or so lines of code. With the GridView and ASP.NET 2.0, it is possible to create an editable GridView without writing a single line of code! All of the necessary functionality is encapsulated within the GridView.

The GridView allows editing on a row-by-row basis. An editable GridView contains an additional column with an Edit button in each row. When the end user clicks on an Edit button that row becomes editable, causing the Edit button to change to Update and Cancel buttons and the other columns to become TextBoxes. The end user can then update one or more column values and click Update to save their changes.

Problem to group radio button across gridview rows

In general no one can easily group or make a single selection from radio button list inside gridview rows. There are a lot of way to make a single or unique selection from list. Here i want to share how i can address this problem in the most easiest way. Googling the problem most of the cases i saw the grouping in horizontal way. Thats why i tried to group the radio buttons in vertical manner. Let i have a requirement like below:

Maintain HTML Radio Button Selection Inside GridView After Postback

Long time ago I wrote an article about getting the value of the selected RadioButtons inside the GridView control. The code did not addresssed the postback issue which means that the selected radio button was cleared after the postback occurs.

A Simple and Extensible Radio Button Style GridView

The GridView is one of the significant controls in ASP.NET 2.0 and later versions. No doubt it reduces a lot of work time. However, customizing the GridView control is not an easy task. For example, it's hard to add a radio button column to the GridView. This article demonstrates the reason why a radio button column cannot act as normal and how to create a simple and extensible radio button GridView.

These features however did not carry over to gridview for many users. This tutorial will explaing how to create a collapsable/expandable gridview in frameworks 2.0 and higher

Easily manipulate data with the GridView control in ASP.NET 2.0

Last week, I introduced ASP.NET 2.0's GridView data control and covered the basics of using it. This week, I go a step further by going into the details of working with the data contained in the control. This includes viewing, editing, and deleting data. Thankfully, the GridView control makes it easy to utilize these features. Before diving into these topics, I begin with an examination of the different field types supported by the GridView control.

Display Related Data in an ASP.NET GridView

Typically when you display a datagrid you will want to show data from a related table. There are 3 different ways to accomplish this with NetTiers. You can use a custom stored procedure, deepload functionality from the code behind, or a strongly typed datasource control. We'll provide an example of each
