Long time ago I wrote an article about getting the value of the selected RadioButtons inside the GridView control. The code did not addresssed the postback issue which means that the selected radio button was cleared after the postback occurs.

Problem to group radio button across gridview rows

In general no one can easily group or make a single selection from radio button list inside gridview rows. There are a lot of way to make a single or unique selection from list. Here i want to share how i can address this problem in the most easiest way. Googling the problem most of the cases i saw the grouping in horizontal way. Thats why i tried to group the radio buttons in vertical manner. Let i have a requirement like below:

A Simple and Extensible Radio Button Style GridView

The GridView is one of the significant controls in ASP.NET 2.0 and later versions. No doubt it reduces a lot of work time. However, customizing the GridView control is not an easy task. For example, it's hard to add a radio button column to the GridView. This article demonstrates the reason why a radio button column cannot act as normal and how to create a simple and extensible radio button GridView.

Editable Gridview with Textbox, CheckBox, Radio Button and DropDown List

This is an example of an editable gridview containing different ASP.NET controls. When user wants to edit values in gridview, she/he can use these controls to edit existing values in Gridview Edit Mode.

Gridview radio button

I am making an online train reservation system. I want to create a fare table (as seen in the link ) that will display fare of different classes based on the user selection of route. The fares should provide a radio button that will allow users to select which fare they would want to purchase. I am having trouble on how to show fares of the same schedule of different classes. I want to create something like the Eurostar fare tables.

XML Radio Button Selection Issue

Hi All,

I used some code i found on the internet and a little of my own to come up with a custom radio-button that will add a list field to the querystring as a parameter. This code seems to work fine when i stick it in a dataview in its own column, but SharePoint Designer does not seem to like my closing tag "</input>" which will lead SharePoint Designer to occasionally try to fix the code itself, which actually breaks it. I'm not an XML expert by any means, so if anyone could please tell me why the code doesnt seem to be XML certified, i would really appreciate it. Code below:

<input type="radio" value="{@TID}" name="radioMain">

ASP.Net Postback using javascript for Radio button list

Hi There,

My current structure:

1. An asp.net radio-button list with autopostback = true. The radio-button list has 2 items - Yes and No.

2. An asp panel that has 2 textbox.

Current behaviour:

When the user clicks on the radio-button list (i.e. Yes), the panel is made visible.

My clients wants the same functionality without the page refresh (i.e. the postback). I tried looking through a lot of forums and articles and couldn't find the any article that would show an example for drop-down list or radio-button list.

Any help is much appreciated..!

Set radio-button selection from model's property

I got 3 radion-buttons on the view called:

- Taxi

- Train

- Bus

The model passed has a property called "Transport" of type String.

In the action, if I set the property as 'Train', then the view should set the radio-button 'Train' checked.

model.Transport = "Train";

How do I do that in the view to make the radio-button Train checked?

asp:button Click event (inside a repeater) lost on postback.

 I have been writing C# code for about 3 years now and have never had this happen.

I am using an asp:repeater (inside an update panel):

<asp:Repeater runat="server" ID="rptRedFolderDocs" OnItemDataBound="rptDataBound">

inside the repeater I have a button with a click event with server side code.

When the page loads, the repeater is databound to a datatable popuplated from SQL connection.  The repeater is NOT bound on postback. I wanted the data to persist.

When the button is click

on dropdown selection label display respected value inside gridview

Here i am using dropdown that will retrive from database when i will select an item from dropdownlist then item rate display on the selection of dropdown item name.

how will do this???
