Listview: How to get the background colour changed based on a boolean value in a table

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 16, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

Hi there, I come across the technique on how to apply a different CSS class to make a row stand out from the others. However, the original code is for gridview whilst I am trying to get it works on a listview. The original code for the gridview is as follows and hope that someone can shed some lights on how to get it done on listview. Thanks.-----------------------------------------------------------------------Protected Sub GridView1_RowDataBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewRowEventArgs) Handles GridView1.RowDataBound Select Case e.Row.RowType Case DataControlRowType.DataRow Dim myRowView As DataRowView = CType(e.Row.DataItem, DataRowView) If Not Convert.ToBoolean(myRowView("Authorised")) Then e.Row.CssClass = "Highlighted" End If End Select End Sub

Microsoft SQL Server  2000 - 8.00.2039 Got this error: Could not complete cursor operation because the table schema changed after the cursor was declared. SQLCode: 16943 SQLState: HY000 Is this a known issue?  I suspect the application logic may cause this error. Please advise. Thanks a lot!

Listview Toggle Visibility of a Textbox based on Data Not Null.

I want to toggle a Textbox to be visible (true, false) contained within an InsertItemTemplate based on the data being Null/Empty.   It Works in the Item Template since it is calling the "select parameters", but once it is in the "insert parameters" on databinds, I am unable to get this to work.  <%# String.IsNullOrEmpty(Convert.ToString(Eval("qu_8")))?Convert.ToBoolean("false"):Convert.ToBoolean("true") %> (works in Item Templates, but not in InsertItemTemplate to toggle a textbox to be visible or not visible). I am using C# in code behind. Thanks in advance -Mark

Changed to claims based authentication, now I can't access my site. Please help! Time is of the ess

I am in a pretty big bind. I have a sharepoint 2010 site, that was using classic windows authentication. It worked fine from the inside, and I was able to extend it to the outside and it was using https with an SSL certificate. However, my performancepoint reports and my external lists weren't working when the site was accessed from the outside. Apparently this is a known issue with using classic authentication on the outside, so I tried to switch over to claims based authentication. I followed this guide: http://blogs.technet.com/b/wbaer/ar...point-2010.aspx I obviously changed the contoso stuff to my domain name, and changed all of the config files. The problem is, now I can't access the site at all from the inside or the outside. Here is the error I get in my logs: code: An exception occurred when trying to issue security token: Could not connect to http://localhost:32843/SecurityTokenServiceApplication/securitytoken.svc/actas. TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:32843. . My Sharepoint Central Administration site gives me this warning: code: The Security Token Service is not issuing tokens. The service could be malfunctioning or in a bad state. Remedy Administrator should try to restart the Security Token Service on the boxes where it is not issuing tokens. If problem persists, f

How to set row Background color for WPF DataGrid Programmatically (WPF & C#) based on the value in t

Hi,

I have a WPF Datagrid binded with list of interface objects.
Consider, ClsEmployee class implements I_Employee interface with properties Empl_Id, Empl_Name, Department, Address and City_name.

List<I_Employee> _emplList;

consider, _emplList has 10 items.

dgEmployeeGrid.ItemsSource = _emplList;

Question:
Now, if the user clicks on a button, then i should be able to read the City_name. Based on the City_name, i should be able to set the color (Color can be different for each row) for the rows dynamically through C# code.

Please help me how to do this?

Thanks in advance!

Correct Boolean type when designing database table?

In my VB.Net code I am using boolean type and it is later stored through a stored procedure to a MS SQL database table. I have so far allways been using "int" as the column type in database table because there is no Boolean type to choose from when designing the columns of a table in the MS SQL Express?

Is it correct to use the column type int for storing Boolean values?

Computing a value in a table based on another column

Hi All,

I have Yearly sales column which has to be calculated based on the date and monthly sales columns. Every month I get a record in a table with the date populated in the Date column and sales for that month in the monthly sales column. Now my task is to calculate the yearly sales for the last 12 months including that month. I am unable to come up with a logic. if my sales for the last 12 months were flat $100, then the yearly sales for the current month should be populated as $1200.

Hope I made my point clear.

Thanks

Forms based authentication allow only specific users from database table

I have the following implementation and I'm sure there is an easy way to do what I want to do but I can't figure it out.

1. I use forms based authentication to authenticate to my site

2.  I use active directory to authenticate the users

3.  I use the Allow Users="xxx" tag to authorize the users limited to the list that can access my site. (e.g.. even though Mary is an AD user she can't access my site unless I put her credentials in the allow users tag in the web.config file)

All is working well but I want to move the users access list (e.g.. <allow users="john" />" from the web.config to a database table so that I can create a user maintenance page for my admins to add and delete user access.   For the life of me I can't figure out how to do this and I can't seem to find an article on it either.  I'm sure I'm just not looking for the right thing, so help is greatly appreciated.

Here is my web.config file..

<configuration>

    <connectionStrings>

        <add name="DBConnectionString" connectionString="Data Source=PRIMSRV;Initial Catalog=MAINDB;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=svc.Test;Password=password
