SQL Server install error 1310 system error 80

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 16, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

When installing SQl server 2008 I am getting a 1310 error, system error 80 on the Microsft.analyisservices.adomdclient.dll.The install is being done by the adminstrator but is being carried out from a remote terminal.Multiple other installs have completed fine on the server and admin rights appear fine.see log  entries below for detail. Is this because we are installing remotely? or is there another reason that anyone can suggestThanks. Creating assembly throwing an error as system.directoryservices assembly is not in the SQL Server

Hi, I am trying to create an assembly (DLL file that created by C# ) which uses System.DirectoryServices assembly. When I try with following script Create ASSEMBLY Addresstype From 'C:\ActiDirectoryFunctions\ActiveDirectoryFunctions.dll' I am getting following Error Assembly 'ActiveDirectoryFunctions' references assembly 'system.directoryservices, version=2.0.0.0, culture=neutral, publickeytoken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a.', which is not present in the current database. SQL Server attempted to locate and automatically load the referenced assembly from the same location where referring assembly came from, but that operation has failed (reason: 2(The system cannot find the file specified.)). Please load the referenced assembly into the current database and retry your request. From above error message, I learnt that System.DirectoryServices assembly is not in the SQL Server. I am using SQL SERVER 2005 SP2 and .Net Framework 3 is there in the machine How to manually add this assembly into this SQL Server Machine? Please let me know if you know Thank you, Raj Dreaming a world without any war in anywhere

Install Error -- The install in progress conflicts with a previous installed MS Office 2010 Server P

Hi,

Working on a development image in Hyper-V.  This image had never had any beta installed of any product.  Had SharePoint Server 2010 and Office Web Apps installed but another installation of another product messed up IIS settings.  It was easier to just uninstall both and start again.  I uninstalled both fine but now when I try to reinstall SharePoint I get an error message saying:

"The install install in progress conflicts with a previous installed Microsft Office 2010 Server Product"

I have done multiple reboots, manually deleted the SharePoint folders on the machine and run CC Cleaner.  Still I get this error.

I even tried the advice suggsted in this blog post: http://blogs.technet.com/chad/archive/2010/04/28/Installing-SharePoint-2010-RTM-Over-Previous-Versions.aspx even though I never had beta installed.

Anyone have anythoughts?

Reuse XAML Declarative Workflow in Workflow Service (xamlx) Results in Server Error of System.Argume

We attempted to reuse a XAML (declarative activity workflow) in a few places within the same XAMLX and it doesn't appear to allow this.   On the WCF client side, it reported an obscure error of something to the effect of unknown message received and a communication error stating the service instance couldn't be used at this time and to ensure the call order is correct or order delivery guarantee is enabled.   However, this appears to mask the true issue which is on the server side.   Apparently, when the server side WCF end point is trying to start the workflow instance, it throws this error building a dictionary of workflow children...

SQL Server 2005 will NOT install! 1603 error!

Greetings! I have no idea where to post this, but I thought maybe someone here could aid me! I'm nearly ready to throw my computer out the window.

I am attempting to get Bioware's Dragon Age"Origins toolset to function, but it requires SQL Server 2005. But every time I attempt to install it, I get a critical error.

I am running Framework .NET 2.0, Service Pack 3, and an OS of Windows XP. I have tried installing them all and reinstalling, to no avail. I also checked to make sure I have permissions on the folders [ to the best of my limited knowledge ].

Here is the log.

Error attempting to install SQL Server 2008

when i try to run the setup.exe to start the installation, i get the following error:

Microsoft .NET Framework CAS Policy Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close.

this is what is in the error signature:

AppName: caspol.exe      AppVer: 2.0.50727.3053     AppStamp:4889dd08
ModName: mscorwks.dll      ModVer: 2.0.50727.3607      ModStamp:4add5446
fDebug: 0       Offset: 000d0494

i have tried completely removing and reinstalling all of my .net installations and it didn't resolve the  issue. it's weird, because one time i tried to run setup i got two application events but subsequent tries did not produce more events.

the first event's id is 1023:

.NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.3607 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A09795E) (80131506)

the second's id is 1000:
