change row-groups: Hidden-expression of deleted group-object still interferes

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 16, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server
Hallo,    I built a report with 23 Datasets. Each of them contained the same hierarchie of two row-groups. The visibility of the subgroup depended on the value of some report-parameters. Now I need to build the same report, only this time with a different rowgroup. I already included the Datafield for the rowgroup into each dataset, deleted all old row-groups and set up the new row-group for each dataset. I also deleted the old report-parameters. The problem is, I still get Error-messages like:       "The hidden-expression of the group-object 'group2' refers to a non-existant report-parameter xy." I checked all hidden-expressions of every single tablix and everywhere the hiddenproperty is correctly set to "visible". How can I make SSRS 2008 realise that the old hidden-expressions, which indeed did refer to the now deleted parameters, are no longer existant?   Any help on this would be much appreciated. How to check effective permissions for a user or group for a SQL server object or whole server?

Guys, How do I see effective permissions for a user or group for a SQL server object or whole server? For example, a user is not listed in security/logins, but he is a member of few groups and some of them have assigned permissions on SQL server (again either directly or through membership in other groups) Even when I select an object (a table), check properties/permission – it doesn’t let me select any principal, except those listed on security/logins… Anyway, what is the right way to see effective permissions for a user or group? Sorry for asking such a simple question, I’ve searched but found nothing relevant.

Aggregate Object Pass as a hidden value

How to use Html.Hidden for aggregate object?For Example, I have Model1 which aggregates Model2. Model:class Model1{.. public Model2 model2;..} class Model2{ public int id; public int name; .... //there are many fields//  } View:ViewPage is tied with Model1.ViewPage<Model1> I can pass Model2 values by specifiying its fields like<%= Html.HiddenFor(x => x.model2.id) %><%= Html.HiddenFor(x => x.model2.name) %> What I want is to pass Model2 as hidden value without specifying its each field. Any idea how to correct line below<%= Html.HiddenFor(x => x.model2) %>//I'm getting null value for model2 Thanks

Checking weather a chart is hidden or displayd by using an Expression (SSRS 2008)

Hello, I want to check weather a chart is hidden or displayd by using the Expression of a Text Box that toggles display of that chart. Therefore I need to call the chart in the Expression. Something like this: =IIF(ReportItems!Chart2.Hidden = False ... But obviously charts are not regarded as report items by ssrs!?!? Thanks Axel

Make a list field ediable by a group of users or hidden to everyone else.

I understand how to hide a field, but this hides it for everyone. My team want to hide it for the users and show it for our team. The field we want hidden from other users are Assigned to, Due Date, and Due Date, but we want our team to be able to edit these fields; not the other users. Is it any way to do this? Thanks for the help.

How to modify Send E-Mail subject ("Welcome to the SharePoint group") in People and Groups?

Hi All,

I am using WSS 3.0 in our application. Whenever user is added to the SharePoint Group using People and Groups page, user will be alerted using Send E-Mail option. We want to modify the subject “Welcome to the SharePoint group: Portal Visitors for site: Home”. I found that I can modify AclInv.aspx to modify the subject.

Could you please tell me is there any other way to change this text since modifying Layout pages are not recommended in our environment?

Thanks in advance.

Change Control - Who changed this object?

We have a team of DBAs. A maintenance plan was changed last week, we can see
a new modified date, but who made the change?

Object Must Implement IConvertible error in LINQ to Entities with group by

Hi. I have an ASP.NET MVC application in which i am using entity model for connecting to MySQl database

Here I am joining 2 tables and then applying group by on one of the fields. Then fetching the result from GroupBy result. Everything is working fine on development machine but getting  error:

"Object Must Implement IConvertible"   when executing on the stagging server.

Can you please help me out why such error is occurring. I have taken the dump of database form staging server and then used that on development machine then also working fine. But when I placed the dump of development machine database on staging then getting the same exception.

ADDS groups renaming does not change lookups in Sharepoint 2010

I had orginally added some Active Directory groups to exisitng sharepoint default groups <sitename> owners, <sitename> visitors, <sitename> members

After renaming the ADDS group names, I try to add those AD security groups to other Sharepoint Custom Groups and the OLD name shows up in sharepoint not the new renamed security group name. Even the lookups dont reflect the new group names or even find them correctly upon searching the AD.

Suggestions? Thx

Need a group total for an expression result NOT from the elements value

Simple question and still new to SSRS 2005.  Did a bit of Crystal reports before.

I have created a bit of code that returns a 0 or a 1 in a column based on a text evaluation as I could not get IIF to behave for me.  But either way the textbox displays the 0 or the 1 if the result is true.

I want to sum up the results, but I cannot seem to find the proper name for the text box to use in a =sum(textbox38) sort of statement.

So I have a couple columns like this

talked to customer estimate given      1   0

talked to customer estimate accepted   0   1

I need to count up those 0 and 1s in the footer so I know how many estimates went out and how many were accepted

Remove user from group using client object model

I'm trying to remove a member of a sharepoint group using the client object model, but nothing happens. I am new to both linq, lambda and the object model, but I feel that the code is very close to doing what it's supposed to do. Here is my code:

ClientContext clientContext = new ClientContext("http://server/);
clientContext.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials;

GroupCollection collGroup = clientContext.Web.SiteGroups;

groups => groups.Include(
group => group.Title,
group => group.Users).Where(
group => group.Title == groupName));

if (collGroup.Count != 0)
	foreach (Group group in collGroup)
		if (group.Title == groupName)
			UserCollection collUser = group.Users;
