Is there any way to edit the page properties (metadata) in SP Designer?
its working fine. But its showing me JS error with my custom master page. What could be the reason?
Its very urgent. Please response.
I am coding a .cs file that handles the metadata for a particular table. I am putting a custom validation that allows me to update or insert only if the PubMedID is not already in the database. This would be easy except that the PMID should also be allowed to be null as some of the references in the database were not from PubMed. So i perform a query on the database to see if there is already an identical PMID in the database. This works great when using Insert. However, when using Edit, it does not. The PMID is already in the database because the one currently being edited has the same PMID!!! So I know exactly how to change my query etc. However, I do not know how to tell from inside this Edit/Insert agnostic page, which one it is being called from. Thanks for your help!
I have a text input to get a 'roomID' and an ASP button that calls an 'enterRoom' function:
roomID:<asp:TextBox runat="server" ID="roomID"></asp:TextBox>
<asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Enter Room!" OnClick="enterRoom" />
Sub enterRoom(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
Server.Transfer("users/room.aspx?roomID=" & Request.Form("roomID"))
One of the user got My owa link in place of my site on the my home page ( go to my site --> my home --> top right corner shows My owa insead of my site ) and he wants to edit that my owa link now. first of all i dont know how he got that
My owa link in the place of my site on my home page. When he surfs any other page than he is getting my site on all other pages. so he is just getting My owa link in place of my site only on the my home page.
At the first glanse, i think it would be master page issue but if that would be the case than it shold apply all the users but this is happening just for one user and we are not using custom master page.
I have created a new web part page and added a document library to that page. In the ribbon the "Edit Properties" icon is enabled and I can edit the document properties.
When I add another web part to the page and go back to select a document, on the ribbon the "Edit Properties" icon is no disabled. I can still edit the document using the context menu of the document.
Permissions on the library did not change when I added the additional web part. The only change to the page was adding an additional web part.
I have a dynamic accordion on a page. Set its datasource to an
object of paged data source.The user control is in the accordions
content template. When i was writing code the properties were showing
but after giving the values of databases as
but the values shows null, these properties are shown as textboxes text property by user control.
MoreOver when I checked the values of database Items.So i made a textbox instead of usercontrol here as
<asp:TextBox ID="txtTest" runat="server"
It is showing the correct value. And if i pass the value directly it is also showing correctly like
<uc:UserControl1 runat="server" Property1="XYZ")%>' Property2="ABC")%>' ></uc:UserControl1>
. where I am wrong
the problem is eval is not passing the value to usercont
I had this working. I would email a link to a page (i.e. Work.aspx), and using the code below, the user would be routed to the login page and then sent to Work.aspx after logging in.
But since I added a site map this isn't working. I always go directly to my home page. If I set Work.aspx as my start page in VS it works, but not if I click a link in the email.
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
Response.Redirect("~/Login.aspx" + "?ReturnUrl=~/Work.aspx");
I keep getting the error message "you do not have permission to do this operation" in sharepoint designer 2007 (WSS 3.0), whenever I try to edit a page in Sharepoint Designer.
I am a farm admin, site collection admin and site admin, after the error message I can click OK and enter the Administrator password which has the same priviliges as me and it thinks about it for 5 minutes then returns the same error, eventually after several
hours it will allow me to save changes but it's about a 1 in 20 chance.
As it does save sometimes it would appear to me that somehow it is losing the connection or temporarily losing the credentials. Does anybody have a clue where I can start to find out a solution to this problem. I get the feeling that something is corrupted
somewhere but I don't what to look for and where.
Any help, tips, ideas gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.
I'm using Request.PathInfo to response.redirect as user to a different page ( based on the content after .aspx ). It redirect just fine however, once redirected, the page loses all content from the master page and the CSS link. I've searched and can't find an answer.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
