the trial period for this product has expired. sharepoint foundation 2010

Hi Everyone,                 I have upgraded a WSS v3 to Sharepoint Foundation 2010. Installed search express 2010 and never got the search working as i always got internal server error when i try and add the search core result webpart to the search center. After i tried repairing the search express 2010 by using the wizard. Now when i try and view sharepoint sites i get "the trial period for this product has expired. " Any ideas ...

2007 VHD - Workflow Setting throws "The trial period for this product has expired"

I recently downloaded the SharePoint 2007 VHD from this link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=67f93dcb-ada8-4db5-a47b-df17e14b2c74&displaylang=en The above link shows 5/3/2010 as Date Published.  So I am assuming that this is the new version of VHD published this year. I am able to login to this VHD and also view the default SharePoint site.  But, when I goto Workflow Setting of a List and click on NEXT button, it throws "The trial period for this product has expired" error.  This error is not written in ULS LOGS. I also noticed something strange in "WIN03_MOSS_README.htm", which is part of this download.  The Program Details section in this Readme says: The evaluation period for this virtual machine image ends @ 2/22/2011.  NO EFFORT SHOULD BE MADE TO ACTIVATE THIS IMAGE.  After 2/10/2010, the evaluation period is over and the image should be discarded.  So what exactly is the expiry date of this VHD?  Is it 22-Feb-2011 or 10-Feb-2010?  Can someone from Microsoft VHD team provide a valid response. Thanks & Regards, Kamlesh | Blog | Twitter | Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

I have SP foundations, why would it be asking for a fully licensed key?

The licensing information not available

Navigate to the 'Convert farm license type' page and enter a non-trial license key to convert your farm from trial to fully licensed. For more information about this rule, see "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=142627 ".

Error - The evaluation period for this version of SharePoint Portal Server has Expired

I am using SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and in the app log I'm seeing this error "The evaluation period for this version of SharePoint Portal Server has Expired" which I believe is causing the search service to not work and I can no longer sign in to the SP central admin console. While I did not perform the install myself it has been running for over a year and according to MS the SP PS 2003 eval was only 120 days so I assume the full version was installed.  Any idea's? There are a couple more errors in the event log but I assume they are symptoms and not causes. Upgraded SQLServer 2008 Enterprise Evaluation after 180 day period expired...Services start but stil

Hello,

I have a SQLServer 2008 Enterprise (180 day eval) installation that had expired.

I downloaded and intalled SQLServer 2008 Enterprise (Full version) from Technet

and ran the "Version Upgrade" tool.

The Upgrade tool correctly identified the expired instance and reported that it

had successfully upgraded the expired instance.

The OS processes will start but when I attempt a connect, I get a "Evaluation Period Expired"

error message.

Is it possible to do an "upgrade in place" after the 180 day evaluation has expired or do

you have to uninstall then re-install ?

Many Thanks in Advance,

2k7 Trial VHD: SPS already expired?

Installed the trial/demo VHD from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=67f93dcb-ada8-4db5-a47b-df17e14b2c74. Though the web page says this is good for 30 days from installation, we got it running and the VM itself is telling us that it's good until 2/2011. Well and fine. However, the installation of SPS itself apparently expired at the end of April of this year and seems pretty much non-functional.

Any suggestions as to what's needed to get this thing up and running, or should I just bite the bullet and grab the regular trial downloads and build a server myself?

Thanks. ddk

The semaphore timeout period has expired

Hello,

For the past few days something weird is happening to our sql server box.  During running some procedures we get the following error message:

Msg 121, Level 20, State 0, Line 0
A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The semaphore timeout period has expired.)

It seems to happen when running large procedures or even small queries, the session where i run the query get disconnected but I can reconnect right away but it may happen again couple minutes later.

I'm connecting to my Windows server 2003 using remote desktop and running procedures from the SQL Server installed on the Windows Server.

Anybody has an answer?  Thanks.

This operation returned because the timeout period expired

I have creetaed OSDesign using VS 2005.Later,I have created device application and I am using emulator created from OSDesign as device for connection. When I debug it gives error as, This operation returned because the timeout period expired

Trial version requires product code

I'm trying to install the trial version of SharePoint 2010. I went to this web site

http://sharepoint2010.microsoft.com/try-it/Pages/Trial.aspx

and download it.

But when I run the setup, it asks me to enter the product code. I wonder how I can move forward.

Thanks,

Toan.
