how to display multiple calendar list data in single calendar view

Hi, Normally, we can used to extend the ListViewWebPart's ViewType property to display a particular calendar list items in Calendar View in our custom webpart. Is it any way to display multiple calendar list data in a single calendar view ?? or please provide some pointers related to this issue. Any help is much appreciated.

Calendar View for External Data List in SharePoint 2010?


I'd like to create a calendar view from data contained in an External List.  My external content type has a Start Date, End Date, and other calendar fields.  Is this possible using the out of the box BCS?

For extra credit - I'd like to then use this calendar as an overlay on other calendars within my SharePoint 2010 application.

Best way to display data of a single column from a Sharepoint Custom List

I'm trying to create pages that will automatically populate with data pulled from a sharepoint list (like title, department, contact info, etc.).   I'm using publishing pages. What would be the easiest way to do this, and how would I specify which data to pull from the list? For example, the page would be set up like this: [Title:biology] [Department:biology] [Contact Info:biology]   and when the page loads, it would look like this: Biology Lab Biology Department 123-456-7890   I want it to just pull the data -- I don't want a list view or anything like that.  I need this page to look pretty, and I need the each column's data to show up in a very specific place. How could I make pages that would do that?

Creating calendar view from tasks list programmatically

Hi All, I have a Tasks list of type "107" and I am trying to create a Calendar view for the tasks list. The way I created the calendar view is as follows: SPView calView = l.Views.Add("Calendar", l.GetView(l.DefaultView.ID).ViewFields.ToStringCollection(), string.Empty, (uint)100, true, false, SPViewCollection.SPViewType.Calendar, false);<br/><br/> I would like to specify the Time interval, Calendar columns, Default scope for this view. Can anyone point me to documentation for creating a calendar view from tasks list? Do I need to specify that in the viewquery?Thanks.

Using a List View web part to display documents from multiple document libraries from different site

Hi there, I am trying to have one web part display documents (or list items) from different document libraries (or different lists) from different site collections. I have achieved this under a single site collection using Data View Web Part (using SPD). I have also achieved displaying a single document library (or a list) from a different site collection by using List View Web Part. but I am not sure how to get my head around displaying documents or list items from different document libraries or lists across site collections. I have thought of using SPSiteDataQuery or ListViewByQuery, but they all seem to focus one site collection at a time. If any of you have done this before, please share your best practice on this one with me. Much appreciated. Clark

Calendar List View Issue - No Month, Week, Day Icons


I'm trying to setup a Calendar view for a list in SharePoint 2010. Everything is working the way I want, except there are no icons to change the view from Month, Week, or Day. Right now, if someone clicks on a date on the calendar, it switches to the Day view. But there is no way for them to go back to the month view.

I open the page in SharePoint Designer, and in the Design view I can see three icons on the Calendar (Month, Week, Day). But at no time do these icons show up anywhere except the design view.

I want it to have the arrow buttons, the month and year (which are already displaying) and then the icons to change the view. How do I get them to appear?

How to display the latest list items in the data view webpart

Hi Guys,

I am pretty new to the SharePoint designer. So don't know much of its capabilities.

I am creating a dataview webpart which display the data from the sharepoint list. In this webpart, i have to display data only for last created date means if we have data in list for 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th march data view display data for date 15th march.
I tried using the simple filter with current date but that not worked. Any idea how we can achieve this.

Display data from two lists in a single Data View - how to edit/delete/view items?


I have an aggregate dataview from two lists. (something like this http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-designer-help/display-data-from-multiple-sources-in-a-single-data-view-HA010099144.aspx#BM3)

The problem is, that when I click on "Data view properties", the options in Editing tab (edit link, delete link and view link) are greyed out.

 I'd like to create custom delete/edit/view link for rows in that dataview with linked source. Any idea?

Connect "Project Tasks" List's Calendar View to Outlook


I would like to connect our department's "Project Tasks"-type list to an Outlook calendar (the same way I can do with a "Calendar"-type list).  

In Sharepoint, I have a nice "Calendar View" (this is a Sharepoint View/Report using the "Calendar" format) of the "Project Tasks"-type List items showing which items were worked on in the past or are to be worked on in the future.  I would like to Connect this view to Outlook, but it appears this "Project Tasks"-type list does not have the "Connect to Outlook" option in the ACTIONS menu.  

I have confirmed that the "Connect to Outlook" option is activated in our "Enable Client Integration" settings per thread ((http://www.eggheadcafe.com/community/aspnet/69/10091824/cannot-see-connect-to-outlook-in-the-actions.aspx).  In fact, if I create a strict "Calendar"-type list (instead of a "Project Tasks"-type list or "Issue Tracking"-type list), I do get the "Connect to Outlook" option in the ACTIONS menu.  I'd li

Disable filtering on a Dynamic Data list view.


I have an entity set of NotificationTemplates, and each one of these has a collection of zero-many SmsTemplate entities. When editing or viewing a NotificationTemplate, I have a link to View SMS Templates. That link takes me to a List view for the SmsTemplates entity set, filtered for the NotificationTemplate I was viewing.

How can I prevent the user changing this filter to show SmsTemplates for another NotificationTemplate? That is, I want the filter, but it must be read only. The drop-down just mustn't drop down, it must just display the name of the NotificationTemplate that these SmsTemplates belong to. To view SmsTemplates for another NotificationTemplate, the user must click View SMS Templates from that other template.

How to add custom list entries to mysite's calendar in Sharepoint 2007 site?


I would like to know below things

(1) How to create MySite for one specific member with other or administrator's access?

(2) Scenario : Administrator have created one SP2007 site. now Administrator have created one calendar (Sample calendar). Administrator have added some entries in calendar. now one user entered in portal site ansd view the calendar and he click on MySite menu. so this sample calendar entries should enter in that user's mysite calendar. How this can be achieved?

Applying custom CSS to the MOSS 2007 Calendar control Month view



I have a requirement to use the MOSS 2007 Calendar Control - month view is to apply a custom css to have a look and feel as per our requirements.

We tried applying the custom css to the MOSS 2007 calendar control - month view, it does take the custom css and applies it, but when i click on any date and come back to the calendar control, it changes the CSS of the MOSS calendar control back to the default one.

Let me know if anyone has any suggestion on  how to customize the calendar control for css for our intranet application.

Using the single *.rpt file with multiple data sources

Calculated date field displays differently in List View and Data View web parts

In SharePoint GUI I created a simple custom list with a calculated Date/Time field (Due).  The calculation is =[Created]+7.  I'm trying to display this data on a page using a DVWP.  But first, for testing purposes, I also created a second calculated Date/Time (TestCreate) field in my custom list that is simply =[Created]. In the List View from within SharePoint, the dates show as expected (for example): Created = 8/12/2010 3:45 PM Due = 8/19/2010 3:45 PM TestCreate = 8/12/2010 3:45 PM In SharePoint Designer, I added a Data View web part and the above three data elements (each configured to display mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss tt).  I see the time displayed for the example list item as: Created = 8/12/2010 3:45:30 PM Due = 8/19/2010 10:45:00 AM TestCreate = 8/12/2010 10:45:00 AM I've tested a couple scenarios and the calculated fields always display five hours in the past (along with dropping the seconds).  It seems like the DVWP is returning the date in a different time zone (with no seconds).  The lcid is set right (1033).  I didn't see any time zone settings for the DVWP specifically.  I'm basically stuck.  Could someone help me figure this one out. Cannot delete custom column in calendar list - 'unknown error'

I've created a column in a calendar list and now cannot delete it.  I've cleared all data and I still get the "Unknown Error" message when I try to delete. jan

Customize calendar to view next month

I was wondering if there is a way to change the calendar view on SharePoint so that it defaults to next month.  Will I have to create a custom web part for this functionality or can I create a view and manipulate it with filters? Thank you in advance.
