We recently upgraded to SharePoint Enterprises 2010 and I am the main person in charge of the layout of the site. I only started working with SharePoint for internet sites about 2 months ago, so I'm still very new to it.
I'm trying to remove the very top bar of our new SharePoint 2010 site and I'm not sure if it's even possible, and if it is I'm not sure where to start with it. The bar that has "site actions," "Browse", "Page," etc...my boss doesn't like it there so I'm
trying to at least hide it from users. I know I still need it to make changes and edit pages, but is it possible to remove it for users? And if it is, how would I do that? All I'm familiar with right now as far as the layout of the site is making changes
to the v4master page.
If it 's not possible to remove it, is there a way that I can make it smaller (not as thick, because it takes up too much of the page)?
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!
