SharePoint Calendar "All Day Event"

Hi All, Currently, when I add my Calendar web part to my page it displays the date and time for start and end dates. How can I get my web part to hide the times and only show the start and end date when the All Day event box is checked?

Hi Experts,   Whenever I create an event and if I don't select "All Day Event" , it shows blank. Can we force it to show "No" instead of blank and how to do it? Thanks.

Is there anyway of disabling the All day Event field in a Calendar list. I don't have the option to hide it either.

(1) How to create MySite for one specific member with other or administrator's access?

(2) Scenario : Administrator have created one SP2007 site. now Administrator have created one calendar (Sample calendar). Administrator have added some entries in calendar. now one user entered in portal site ansd view the calendar and he click on MySite menu. so this sample calendar entries should enter in that user's mysite calendar. How this can be achieved?

 I need to have a sharepoint calendar where if I reserve a time that is being used from 12pm-2pm, another person/ same person can't come in and reserve the same time from 1pm-2pm  or 12pm -2pm for the same day. Is there an easy way to do this?

Is it possible to upload from Outlook Calendar to SharePoint, or just using SharePoint Calendar sync with Outlook Calendar to be Read only?

Can anyone recommend a basic howto guide for setting this up?

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to set permissions on a calendar so that the person that made the entry is the only one that is allowed to edit or remove it?  I can't think of anyway to accomplish this with a SharePoint 2007 calendar web part.  Any ideas?

I'm trying to limit the calendar view to current week using the Sharepoint defined field Start Time. However, when I display the serial number behind the Start Time it looks like it is actually giving me the serial number for the Created Date field. I believe it is because the appointment is reoccurring but I'm hoping there is a way around it. I created a new testdate field and manually entered the date and set those appointments as all day events however they are not reocurring appointments. The testdate returns the correct serial number however the start time returns an incorrect serial number. Is there a sharepoint recurrence flag that you can set on the server to turn on and off recurrence? What we have done is changed the default install of sharepoint to disable recurrent in sharepoint calendars and now we want to turn them back on.

Hi Everyone, I have a user who manages several Sharepoint calendars who likes to export lists and calendars to excel.  Currently when there is a recursive item, it only gets sent out once.  I have set up a list view that shows recurring events, but when exported to excel, it goes back to only showing each instance once. I know that the concern is that it will generate infinite entries, but is there a way to export this to excel showing all of the recurring items?  I have tried many times and looked on the internet with no success.  So far I'm only using the included parts of sharepoint, so I haven't looked into 3rd party software or writing my own code. Hello I want our users to be able to make meetings in sharepoint and see it directly in their personal calendar, also when other users subscribe and unsubcribe it should be seen in their personal calendar. I know its possible to "Link/Connect with outlook" but this makes a new "Other Calendar" which u can put side to side with your own calender. I would like to have it directly imported into my personal outlook calendar.  Is there any known information , links about this?

I have created a Calendar in Sharepoint for booking out company vehicles. The fields I have created are: Vehicle (Choice), Driver (User/Group), Start & End Times, Title (text), DisplayField (Calculated text based on Vehicle + Title...... it would be nice to include Driver but it seems Sharepoint cannot handle the User/Group datatype in a calculated field.....but I digress). I use the DisplayField calculated field in my default calendar view in Sharepoint. All is good at this point. When one connects it to Outlook (via the Action menu in Sharepoint) the calendar is added but all the entries show only the Title field. If I double click on an entry, only the title field appears - the Vehicle and Driver values are missing. When I try to create a new entry - only the Title field (plus other default Outlook fields) are available. So: How can one display a value other than Title by default, and how can I display the other columns when looking at the event detail?

I have a calendar on our SharePoint site that Ihave connected into outlook using the Connect to outlook button   For some reason the send and receive gets stuck on 70%.   OS: Vista Business  Office 2007 SP2 Exchange 2003 I exported the calendar out of sharepoint into a access DB and noticed some blank entries so I deleted them. Hello,   my project manager wants to have all the meetings he creates on sharepoint automaticly visible into his personal outlook. No fancy overlay or 2e calendar, he wants it all in 1 Calendar. What woudl be the best way to develop this? I was thinking of a reusable workflow/action which inserted the data with Exchange web services. would this be the best/fasterst way ?   thanks for reading, Andy

I have a need to add US, Canadian and UK holidays to a corporate wide calendar. Is there a way to have SharePoint auto input these holidays for me or do I have to add them into a calendar overlay by hand. I can have outlook add holidays automatically it seems odd that SharePoint can't. Any suggestions?
