Name 'Login1' not declared

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 15, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net
I know I have to be missing something simple, but yes, it's stumped me.  I've read a couple posts that are similar, but didn't correct my issue.  This seems too easy, so here's my situation.  I have a Login.aspx (using VB).  Here's my (partial) code for this page: <asp:LoginView ID="LoginView1" runat="server"> <AnonymousTemplate> <asp:Login ID="Login1" runat="server" OnLoggedIn="SetDestinationUrl" Width="100%"> <LayoutTemplate> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"> <tr> <td width="60px">Username: </td> <td><asp:TextBox ID="UserName" runat="server" Width="95%" /></td> <td width="5px" align="right"><asp:RequiredFieldValidator ID="UserNameRequired" runat="server" ControlToValidate="UserName" ErrorMessage="Username is required." How to I apply an XAML declared animation to multiple controls dynamically?

Hello, How to I apply an XAML declared animation to multiple controls dynamically? Here is the XAML declared animation: <Window.Resources> <Storyboard x:Key="TextBlock_SB"> <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetName="TextBlock_1" Storyboard.TargetProperty="(TextBlock.Opacity)" From="1.0" To="0.75" Duration="0:0:0.5" AutoReverse="True" RepeatBehavior="Forever" /> </Storyboard> Here is the code that starts the animation for TextBlock_1: (this.Resources["TextBlock_SB"] as Storyboard).Begin(); I want to apply the same storyboard/animation to TextBlock_2 and TextBlock_3 and perhaps others.  How do I do that without defining more XAML storyboards? CA1063 : Microsoft.Design : Ensure that 'PageContentGrid.Dispose()' is declared as public and seal

OK... I'm getting my DB context like so: private ssCMSDataContext _dataContext; protected ssCMSDataContext DbContext { get { if (_dataContext == null) { _dataContext = new ssCMSDataContext(); } return _dataContext; } } public override void Dispose() { if (_dataContext != null) { _dataContext.Dispose(); } base.Dispose(); } When I run the code analysis I get the following warnings:  "CA1063 : Microsoft.Design : Ensure that 'PageContentGrid.Dispose()' is declared as public and sealed." "CA1063 : Microsoft.Design : Modify 'PageContentGrid.Dispose()' so that it calls Dispose(true), then calls GC.SuppressFinalize on the current object instance ('this' or 'Me' in Visual Basic), and then returns.  I don't understand what it wants me to do?  Little help....

The 'DataType' attribute is not declared bug of MS SQL RS still here

Greetings. I am getting repeated bugs with reporting services that is described here https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=405739&wa=wsignin1.0 In short words, BIDS is saving the report in the wrong format, adding attributes to the tags that dont belong to the schema, and you can no longer open the report with BIDS, you have to carve those attributes out with Notepad, only to find out that next time you're working on it, they come back! This is getting seriously annoying as i virually cannot close my BIDS anymore, each time i want to reopen my project i have to edit it in the notepad!  Threre are words about "microsoft knows about this issue and changed it to "Fixed (External)" but noone knows how to install the fix... Help please.

Event Handle & Declared Message Errors

Hi Experts: There is a missing event Handle that requires a variable found in the button code . Secondly,  there is a Name declared error (i.e., Name 'First' is not declared, Name 'Last' is not declared, Name 'City' is not declared, Name 'State' is not declared) found in the page code. How do we revise the codes to remove the message errors? Go to the following URL link to view 'High Res' screen shots at http://cforedu.com/screen.pdf Here is the page code:<%@ Page Language="VB" %> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head id="Head1" runat="server"> <title></title> <script runat="server"> Protected Sub Save(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Dim First As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("First"), TextBox) Dim Last As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("Last"), TextBox) Dim City As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("City"), TextBox) Dim State As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("State"), TextBox) End Sub </script> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div> <asp:FormView runat="server" ID="fvApplicatio

SSRS 2005 with SSAS Parameter is not declared

Hello, I'm builind a mdx query to my report in ssrs 2005 with ssas 2005 all on SP3. I'm having the hardest time to add a custom parameter to the query, I add it to the dataser parameters tab ("..." button). Then when I try to use it in my query I get an error: The query uses a parameter, which is not declared. I've seen some examples on the goo.. internet but none seems to work. My query runs fine like this STRTOMEMBER("[dimension].[entity].&[16]") but it fails if I try to do this.. STRTOMEMBER("[dimension].[entity].&[" + @entityid + "]") Am I trying to do impossible? :) Any idea on how to get such filter to work? My filters are a bit complex that's why I can't simply use the "Parameter" checkbox in the query designer mode. Thanks!

How to use return JSON object from web service as a declared Type?

Hi, I just hit the following issue: I am calling a web service that returns a serialized JSON object let's say: __type, FirstName, LastName (.net object Person with properties FirstName and LastName). __type's value is Test.Person I have created a JS object using Type.registerNameSpace/registerClass called Demo.Person and it is registered on the page using the ScriptManager. Everything is working fine; I am able to get data from the server on the call back. Is it possible to make the returned object from the web service be an instance of the declared JavaScript Demo.Person class? The idea would be to call a method like result.getFullName() on the client side without having to copy all the properties. This is just a simple scenario for more complex objects.   Thanks,   Teo

How to assign datatype at run time to a declared var in a stored proc?

Hi, I want to declare a local var. in sp. such that it would have the same datatype as a column in a specific table Example (forgive the syntax!) Decalre @Address  CustomerTable.Address The above would translate to the following at execution time Declare @Address VARCHAR(200) This feature was in Oracle, is it in SQL Server as well? Thanks. EK

I try to create a new webb site using VS 2010 and .Net Framework 4.0, I wanted it to be a copy of an exsisting .Net Framework 3.5 based site, so I copied the aspx page code and the codebehind code from the old version when I created the new one, but now I get these errors...

is not declared. It may be inaccessible due to its protection level.

It seem I get this error on every control I have on the page, why is that and how do I fix it?

implications of not closing an open connection declared locally

 Hello All.

I was wondering about something.  I'm supporting a .NET C# application which has a number of database connections declared locally as IDbConnection with MS SQL Server and NHibernate.  These connections are declared locally and not explicitly closed after a specific operation is performed.  Are these connections automatically closed after the local method is executed, or could these connections be floating around somewhere?  We're having semaphore max out problems, and I'm trying to see if this may be the culprit.  I'm doubtful, as I believe these connections would automatically close, but thought I'd throw out hte possibility.

Declaration of dataContractSerializer maxItemsInObjectGraph is not being used when declared in App.c

I have a WCF service with 2 methods, both using a class declared as DataContract...
One of the methods in the class has a list of references to other objects...

So I was getting an error message about maxItemsInObjectGraph and that I needed to increase it...

I declared this parameter on both service sice (in Web.config in service and endpoint behaviour) and on client side (in App.config in endpoint behaviour)...
But, for some reason the client is not using this configuration at all...

I wrote a small console app as a client that uses service reference for testing purposes...
The program has following block of code:

      var client = new MyServiceClient();

      foreach (var operation in client.Endpoint.Contract.Operations)
        Console.WriteLine("\n List of behaviors for operation: [{0}] :", operation.Name);
        foreach (var behaviour in operation.Behaviors)

Sum Multiple Declared Expressions

I have 2 Declared expressions that I need to add together, I know how to do a normal SUM on Select statements however this is a little different, or at least it appears that way to me.

Here are the 2 Declared Statements:

declare @Amount float

select top 1 @Amount = CAST(dbo.Designated_Amount.Amount AS Float)
    FROM dbo.Designated_Amount INNER JOIN
       dbo.SIMS ON dbo.Designated_Amount.Unit_Code = dbo.SIMS.Unit_Code
    WHERE not exists (Select * From dbo.SIMS Where (dbo.Designated_Amount.Unit_Code = '114') AND dbo.SIMS.Event_Type in ('IR','ME',
