I need to create SPC Histogram chart in SSRS 2008 to represent Cp, Cpk etc. i can calculate all this Cp, Cpk but not getting how to represent as a chart in SSRS 2008. I know there is no readymate template availavle in SSRS for SPC but
is there any other way to draw histogram chart ?
You can see the SPC histogram chart example on this link :
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards
For a report executed from Report Manager that has a bar chart component, regenerating the report via refresh or view with same input parameters either gives a different result that is garbled or an empty chart (2008) or no chart at all (2005). I have
the report set up to not do any caching, so that does not seem to be the issue. Is there some chart option I may need to set to get the proper chart display.
I am using SQL Server 2008 R2 Ent. Edition 64 bit reporting services. The source data for report is at remote server and it is SQL Server 2005 Ent. Edition (though I don't think this matters here.) I have set the <WorkingSetMaximum> to 5GB for SSRS
I am testing the performance of report server and running a report with 100K records with 20 concurrent users. All 20 reports gets executed successfully. When I try with 25 or 30 users only 21 reports execute successfully when I see the ExecutionLog table.
I see this exception in the report service log file. Please help.

I would like to control the visibility of a data label in a line chart using an expression. For example, I have a requirement to show the data label for two compariable data points in a line chart where the horizontal axis is time (Q1, Q2, Q3,
etc...) and the data points are determined based on a selected parameter. The basic idea is that a user can select to view Q3 as the end point of reporting and the chart will graph a complete time line (e.g. FY 2001 thru FYXX
Q3) but only show the label for Q3 and prior year Q3.
I have tried to build an expression in the visibility property of 'Chart Series Labels' but this does not appear to work.
I haven't seen a way to create text labels for the y-axis of my scatter chart. As a quick fix I just created labels outside of the chart and positioned them near the major tick marks.
On the x-axis of the scatter chart I have been able to create text labels. Sometimes the text is long which the chart then wraps so that the labels look nice and neat.
The problem is that if a text label on the x-axis is too long the chart's height is reduced. So then the tick marks on the y-axis don't match up with my text labels that I created outside of the chart for the y-axis.
Is it possible to create text labels for the y-axis of the chart? OR is there a way to define a height for the chart area?
I want to plot series in a line Graph on UTC time which has to be placed on Primary category axis. The secondary category axis should just display the correspoding PST time(No series need to be plotted on this). Is there a way to achive this?
In the SSRS 2008 chart, I made the x axis scalar and it’s a date type. On Y axis i have a simple "count" (number) corresponding to each date.
Now the x axis always has 9 points regardless of months i return from query. Like say i have data for only 8/31/2010 then i get display like 9 data points on x-axis saying Aug 2010 and on one of those, i get the count value.
If data points are more than 12 then graph is looking nice otherwise same problem of repeating the month values.
Same problem the with day wise graph too. If data points are more that 5- 10, day wise graph looks good. otherwise some days points get repeated.
Can anybody suggest me the solution ?
I am using SSRS 2008. I have a line chart which queries a huge dataset and shows the datapoints really close to each other that the labels and grid-lines are overlapping onto each other.
Is there a way to split the chart and show it on different pages.? Thanks in Advance :)
We created bubble charts with ease using Microsoft Excel. Now we wanted to implement the same using SSRS 2008 R2. But, it seems to be too complicated. This is the actual requirement
The X and Y axis are secondary and we are taking the Logarthmic scale for both the axis.
The bubble size is dependent on a field. Tried all possible ways but not able to replicate as Excel
Count Data1 Data2
123 0.03 0.05
Like that. Data1 should be Y axis, Data 2 would be X axis and Count determines the bubble size. Its pretty straight forward in excel and we were not able to figure out what exactly is going wrong. The dataset is pulling the same values that are in Excel.
