Error loading package

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 15, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

Hi there all... We've just started using SSIS packages, and everything seems to be going ok. I've recently set up a couple of jobs which just run an SSIS package every 5 minutes to collect data. These run fine 90% of the time, but intermittantly produce an error. When using a SSIS task in the job it simply reported"Could not load Package." I have changed these to use DTExec as I heard it gave more verbose execution results, and now I get an error like"Executed as user: NZ\SQLAdmin. Microsoft (R) SQL Server Execute Package Utility  Version 9.00.1399.06 for 32-bit  Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp 1984-2005. All rights reserved.    Started:  8:25:00 a.m.  Could not load package "\MSDB\RadiusBilling\Get_RADIUS_AuthLog" because of error 0x80040E37.  Description: Table/view either does not exist or contains errors.  Source: Microsoft SQL Native Client  Started:  8:25:00 a.m.  Finished: 8:25:00 a.m.  Elapsed:  0.047 seconds.  Process Exit Code 5.  The step failed." So far I have not been able to find anyone else with similar errors.Whenever the package executes it seems to run fine, so this seems to be an error just getting the package to execute in the first place, and as I said it only happens internittantly. The packages talk to a SQL2005 server using windows authentication (which I assume is inherited from the SQLAgent service user), as well as a MySQL

dtutil won't deploy my package, "error 0xc0011008 loading from XML"

My package runs fine on the dev server with remote database.  SSMS deploys it to the msdb on the remote server, no problem, and it runs there with no problem.

But when I try to use dtutil from the command line to deploy it from a local .dtsx file to the remote server, I get the following message:

Dev system is using Visual Studio 2008 and BI Studio R2, database server is SQl 2008 but not R2.

I don't think that matters.

What might matter is that I have embedded spaces in the file names and package names - just renaming the file didn't seem to help, I think I'll try renaming the package, for lack of any better idea to try.

Or, could it be a 32bit/64bit thing?  I'm not sure who is 32bit and who is 64bits, actually.

Help!??!

Thanks.

BIDS Error loading 'Package.dtsx' in 2008

So everything was working grand. I had both SQL2005 and 2008 installed and were working together just fine. Then I installed 2008R2. And everything was still fine minus the fact that I couldn't run anything with the dtexecui.

I have 2 computers that mirror each other in what's installed on them. SQL2005/2008/R2 were installed on both of them. Then when I started having package issues, I uninstalled R2.

Computer A works fine. After I uninstalled R2, I reinstalled the components from the sql2008 disk and packages work/open/run with dtexec/ui

On Computer B (which is the more important one of course) I get this error when trying to open a package (in bids).

Error    4    Error loading 'Package.dtsx' : Could not load type 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.Wrapper.IDTSPackageSigning100' from assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSRuntimeWrap, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91'..

And then it gives me the little red x in the right corner.

I tried re-registering everything based on this post http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-IE/sqlkjsetupandupgrade/thread/5ed7480b-2ca5-48de-bd3b-4b3752237c31 and that didn't work.

Then I uninstalled SQL2008, reinstalled, applied SP1, it still didn't work. Then I re-registered things again and it still d

Error Running SSIS Package as SQL Agent Job loading a file from network drive, works fine in bids an

Having problems reading an excel file from a networked drive while running a package as a SQL Agent job step as a type "SQL Server Integration Services Package". I have agent running as an AD account, and I can use the execute package utility logged in as this account and it works. When I log into the server as this account, I can see the network drive, read/write/create to folders on the drive but when I try to run the agent job it cant find the file. I tried using the unc path in the config file rather than a mapped drive, still no luck. If I use a local drive (c) in the config file, the job works fine so it has to do with the network drive. Running windows server 2003 standard R2, SQL Server 2005 standard sp3. Any ideas out there?

Hi All,   I have a ssis package. It has 3 tasks, first task updates a record in Oracle database to set an Indicator to “Y”, second task process SSAS Cube and the third again updates the same record and sets the indicator to “N”. Error loading workflow services

Hello, I'm developing a service library using the new wf 4.0 and one of my requirements is that some activities have the ability to be resumed by a client, so i created a wcf resume service that could load a workflow definition and resume a bookmark of that workflow. One of the services i created was a flowchart that has a receive reply activites inside a sequence activity has a start point, after that i have another sequence that have another sequence, yes 2 sequence activities, and my custom activity that needs to be resumed by a client. The 2 nested sequence activites was a something i used only for testing, but if i had those 2 sequence activities nested i got an error when loading that workflow definition in my resume service: 'ObtemPareceres' is not of type 'Sequence'. When loading this instance you must ensure that the activity with name 'ObtemPareceres' implements 'Sequence'. The "ObtemPareceres" is my custom activity, and if i remove that second nested sequence everything works fine. Anyone has any idea of whats going where? thanksFrederico Regateiro

COM Interop Error loading type library/DLL TYPE_E_CANTLOADLIBRARY error in Vista but not XP

I have created a .NET executable that is using a COM assembly that is located on a servers shared drive but am  having problems getting it to work on a number of machines. I have made sure to register the COM assembly using regsvr32 and doing that it works on the computer that I developed it on. From there I brought it over to a Windows XP computer where it didn't work. I received an error message saying "Error loading type library/DLL ... (TYPE_E_CANTLOADLIBRARY)", which was in reference to the COM assembly. After some trouble shooting I found that if I granted the executable FullTrust in the .NET security model the .NET executable was able to load the assembly and everything worked properly. From there I brought the executable to a Windows Vista computer, registered the COM assembly using regsvr32 and granted the .NET executable FullTrust in .NET but it doesn't work. I get the same error saying "Error loading type library/DLL ... (TYPE_E_CANTLOADLIBRARY)". Any idea why the same steps would work in XP but not in Vista? Am I missing something obvious? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Loading Decimal Number From Excel into SQL Server 2005 using SSIS Package
