Me and my team are developing a POC in Performance Point 2010 using SSASCubes,we are planning to recommend trainign for the team but i had a couple of questions.
1.The Team is totally new to this technology as we dont know what is .NET,MOSS 2007 and SQL Server 2008 R2.
2.Does working in PPS 2010 requires basics of Sharepoint 2010 and .NET,if yes then what are the areas we need to look into it before proceeding with PPS 2010 training
Can anybody kindly guide us with the same
I have created a report in SSRS 2008 and have passed a parameter called Carrier to it. The report works fine on http://machinename/reports and am able to pass parameters to the report including the All Carriers parameter.
However I cannot get the report to run in PPS 2010. In PPS I have created a multi value filter called as Carrier and have passed this filter to this report. But when I execute this report I get the following error :
SQL Server Reporting Services
I have used the data type as string in SSRS.
I have created a report in SSRS and this report is integrated within a dashboard created using performance point services in sharepoint 2010.
The report is a simple tabular report with 5 coulmns and interactive sorting is enabled on each of them.
Sorting works when the report is viewed separately but gives "Report Server Error" when I try to sort (on any column) inside the dashboard.
I have user IP instead of host name in the report server url.
Can we get the cube browsing experience as we get in SSAS and BIDS cube browser in SharePoint 2010 using performance point or excel services?
I am most interested in drag and drop features for dimensions and mesures.
More or less same browsing features were available in BIP viewer webpart but it is no more available.
So is there anyway we can drag and drop dimension members and measures in performance point dashboards?
We are planning to upgrade to share point 2010. How is web analytics in share point 2010. Can we connect web analytics in share point 2010 and performance point to get dash board ane everything. Please correct me if i am wrong.
Visual Studio 2010 includes new resource contention profiling features that help detect concurrency contention among threads. We walk through a profiling investigation to demonstrate how you can pinpoint and fix resource contention problems in your code.
