Sharepoint 2003 + Windows Terminal Server 2008 + Office 2007 problem?

Hi, We have a customer where some users runs Windows Terminal Server 2008 with Office 2007. They open documents from a Sharepoint 2003 site. When they open an excel sheet they get a button in the document which says "Server workbook: Click edit workbook to edit this workbook" and there is a button: "edit workbook" The users clicks "edit workbook" but get an error message saying there is no connection to the server.  They are able to edit the document, but not save it back to the sharepoint site. Most other users work on their local computer with Office 2003. Here, everything works fine and there are no button/message stating its a server workbook.   Is this caused due to some compatability issues between Sharepoint 2003 and Office 2007?   Best regards, Thomas Hansen ErgoGroup AS

I"m attempting to upgrade from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008 R2 x64 Enterprise on a server running Windows Server 2003 x64 Enterprise, SharePoint 2007 Enterprise, and SQL Server 2005 and SSRS 2005 Enterprise running in integrated mode.

I installed the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 SP2 Reporting Services Add-in for Microsoft SharePoint Technologies from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=35c3a13f-4b5e-4d4a-86e4-07ee307b9638&displaylang=en.

When attempting to install Report Builder 2.0, I get the error "Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint products and technologies is not installed."

When I try to run a report (existing 2005 reports already deployed), I get the error: "Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object." SSRS 2008 R2 and sharepoint 2007 report builder problems

I upgraded our enterprise sql server 2008 to sql server 2008 r2 last weekend.  Along with this i installed the report builder 3.0 on the servers as well and the updated ssrs add in for sharepoint.  The upgrade went fine, no errors that i could find.  The problem is now when i go to a library that has the report builder content type enabled and click report builder report under new it does not load report builder 3.0.

I updated the custom report builder url in central administration from /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application to /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application

however when i do click the new report builder report it kicks me over to http://company.com/ReportServer_MossEnt  which itemizes out each individual sharepoint site in the farm.

Is the integration of ssrs 2008 r2, sharepoint 2007 and report builder 3.0 work?  did i install the wrong version of the report builder add in?  The above is the only problem i am having now.

all servers are server 2008, 64 bit and moss 2007 enterprise with sp2 & april 2010 cu

Problem connecting to SQL Server 2008 R2 Express from Access 2007

I have a problem with SQL Server 2008 R2 Express with MS Access 2007. I am running Windows 7 with 8 gigs memory. I installed SQL Server 2008 R2 Express. Do I now need to install SP1 because I am running with Windows 7? I can open SQL Server using the Management Screen but I cannot connect to MS Access 2007 using SQL Server Express as the database. When trying to connect to SQL Server from Access 2007, I keep getting the message that SQL Server 2005 cannot be found. It will not allow me to sign onto sql server 2008 stating that it cannot be found. Do I have to now run the SQL Server 2008 R2 Express SP1? Is there an upgrade to MS Access 2007 which will allow me to use SQL Server 2008 R2 Express?

Problem consuming 32bit WCF service which references a native Dll in a 64 bit OS(Windows Server 2008

I have some 32bit Dlls which i want to use it in 64bit OS as i do not have a source code of this to recompile it for 64 bit OS. I have created a x86(32 Bit) WCF service which calls these Dlls and hosted it as a Windows Service on a x64(64 Bit) machine using Windows Server 2008. I have created one more x64 client which calls a function in the WCF which in turn calls a function from the 32 bit native Dll. Whenever i try calling this WCF from the client I get an error as given below. Can anybody please guide as to where I am going wrong and what is needed to solve this issue. Problems with SSRS 2008 Install when configuring a back-end database on a SQL Server 2008 R2 environ

We are tyring to configure SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS 2008) not the R2 version with a SQL Server 2008 R2 version of database. We are facing error when the configuration manager within SSRS tries to execute its scripts against the database. Do you think that SSRS 2008 may have trouble using a SQL Server 2008 R2 version as the back-end? Also, what kind of permissions does the ID installing SSRS needs to have on the SQL Server database ?  Not much is available in the documenation or online.

Getting error while retrieving data from sql server 2008 to infopath 2007 in sharepoint 2007

Hi, I have created an InfoPath form in InfoPath 2007. In this form I am getting data from SQL Server. To do this I have created data source for SQL Server 2008’s Tables. I have created 4 connections for 4 tables. When I am previewing this form from InfoPath Designer 2007, it is working. But when I am publishing this, it is giving me an error ‘Can not update content type’. If I skip this error then my form published but when I open this form from Share Point 2007. It gives me an error:   There has been an error while processing the form. Click Continue to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors. Click Start Over to load a new copy of the form.   An error occurred accessing a data source. An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server. Log ID: 6932 G. Goyal

Can WEBDAV be disabled in Sharepoint 2010 on a Windows Server 2008 R2?

Hello, we had some issues with WEBDAV use with Sharepoint 2010 placed behind WEBSeal proxies. We decided to only use FPSE (front page server extensions) for an external access to this portal. I cannot find a way, how to disable WEBDAV, or how to force clients to only use FPSE with this portal. It is fair, to say, that we would like to make such configuration on a server side, rather then configure client computers. We are running Sharepoint 2010 on a Windows Server 2008R2 server (i.e. IIS 7.5) thank you in advance for help/ideas Roman Cernovsky

OPENROWSET Problem with FoxPro and SQL Server 2008 on Windows 2008 R2

I currently have stored procedures running in SQL2K on a Win2K3R2 that gather data from our over 1500 free-table Foxpro databases. The stored procedures use MSDASQL and the VFP ODBC driver. This has been working well since at least 2005. I am now in a situation where I need to port the SQL databases over to SQL2K8 on Win2K8R2. I have a 32-bit SQL instance running so that I can still use the Foxpro drivers. I have installed the VFPODBC and the VFP OLE DB drivers and configured the Providers in the SQL instance to "Allow Inprocess" and not "Disallow adhoc access", and all those wonderful things, I have it to the point where when logged on locally to the SQL2K8 I can run either one of these statements below successfully:  SELECT number FROM OPENROWSET('MSDASQL', 'Driver=Microsoft Visual FoxPro Driver;SourceDB=\\RMFS\FOXPRO\CLIENT1\CLIENTDB;SourceType=DBF', 'SELECT number FROM ARCUSTMR') or  SELECT number FROM OPENROWSET('VFPOLEDB', '\\RMFS\FOXPRO\CLIENT1\CLIENTDB'; ' '; ' ', 'SELECT number FROM ARCUSTMR') However, if I try to run the same query from my PC (and a Domain Admin) I get the following errors respectively: OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "(null)" returned message "[Microsoft][ODBC Visual FoxPro Driver]File 'arcustmr.dbf' does not exist.".
