I'm using vs2010, EF. I have a left column simular to a navigation area and I'm trying to figure out a way to display the FK links that appear at the end of a list as columns, in my navigation area. One thought was to place a duplicate table in the navigation area and hide all the columns except for the FK links. Is there an easier way to accomplish this.
I am trying to create a List in Sharepoint 2010 using Site Columns and Content Types. It results in creating duplicate fields in the list for the Site Columns used. Here is the details description of what I was doing.
I have created two site columns
<Field Type="Number" DisplayName="Start Coordinate" Required="TRUE" EnforceUniqueValues="FALSE" Indexed="FALSE"
Name="StartCoordinate" Overwrite="TRUE" />
<Field Type="Number" DisplayName="End Coordinate" Required="TRUE" EnforceUniqueValues="FALSE" Indexed="FALSE"

hopefully someone can help me with this MOSS-Issue:
when you activate incoming e-mails for a document library, sharepoint automatically creates a few columns in the document library such as "e-mail to", "e-mail subject", etc.
The problem is that it seems not be possible to access a few of these newly created columns.
In my case i have to create one list where the user should be able to send and also drop e-mails to while using the same columns for the emails metadata (to,from. email datetime). When i drop e-mails to the list, it doesn't care which 3rd party tool/outlook
add-in i use - they are all not able to access the newly created columns to save the email metadata into.
So is there a way to change the columns used for incoming emails in a document library ?
I'm looking for a way to change the order of the colums in a list in SharePoint 2010. I only have access to SharePoint Designer 2010 for editing the site.
I already looked at the function to create custom views for lists. However this are only useful when viewing the list as a whole, however when you edit an existing, or create a new entry you will see

Getting the list of tables with indentity columns i.e to check the key info in the system tables along with column data types.

I have a list in mysite, which I need to move to portals web application. Only way I know is to save list as template and copy the stp file to another site collection. However issue with this approach is values of system columns "Created by" and "Modified
by" does not get copied over.
Is there a way to copy values of these columns?
