I had a working ASP.Net web site project that I converted to a web application project. Both the old and new code was developed with VS2005 and ASP.Net 2.0. The WAP code runs fine on my local machine. When I used the Build->Publish functionality (using FTP into the same directory that the deployed web site project code had been stored in) and tried to run the app I got an error complaining that "The file '/MasterPage.master.cs' does not exist.".
As expected, the publish did not upload CS files and there is a .dll file in the bin where I expect all such code to reside. I must be missing some configuration setting (perhaps on the server?) to let IIS know about the single binary so that it does not look for cs files. What am I missing?
