Not able to open Term Set Manager

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 14, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint
I want to create a local term set for my site collection by creating a new Site Column, setting its type to Manged metadata, and in the managed metadata section check the 'Customize your term set' radiobutton. What happends onclick is that an alert box pops up with the information: 'This operation cannot be completed. The term store may be unavailable'. The 'Edit Using Term Set Manager' link is also dead. I am able to open the Term Store Mgt Tool from site settings and have full CRUD access on terms under the Managed Metadata Service, I'm also able to add new keyword under System, so I think I should have access. I have restarted IIS, cleaned the solution, but the problem persists Have anyone experienced this problem?

SSRS 2008 Report Manager only accessible within the server, cannot open on a different PC

How should I configure my SQL 2008 Reporting Services so that the Report Manager can be accessed outside the server.  That is, from a different machine within the same network?  Whenever I try to access the Report Manager from another machine, a prompt will appear requesting for username/password several times before a blank page is shown.

Reporting Services Configuration Details:
Service Account: Local System
Execution Account: Tried using my own login details within the domain and tried without it

Please let me know if you need any other details.  I am running out of ideas on what I can possibly do, thanks!

VS2010 Extension Manager won't open - error given. Please Help

I am getting this error when I try to open the Extension Manager from VS2010 Ultimate:

The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name Microsoft Visual Studiomust be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.

I had used the reset previously to correct it:

1 - Reset the skipped packages: From an elevated command-line prompt, run "devenv /ResetSkipPkgs" from under "\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE"

This no longer works for me. I also tried:

2 - Revert back to the general settings: From the Tools menu, go to "Import and Export Settings". Select "Reset settings". Make sure to backup your current settings if you have done any customization. Select "General Settings". Finish the wizard and see if the problem is resolved.

I cannot open my Extension Manager - Please Help. I really need to get this working.

thanks in advance!
