Searching All Sites in 2010 Foundation

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 14, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint
Searching used to work, not sure what has happened.  If I use the This Site option, it's fine, if I use the All Sites option I get a page not found error. The page it's looking for is http://sharepoint/SitePages/All%20Sites/Results.aspx?k=test&s=All%20Sites.  Do I just need to create an "All Sites" page? I have a single server installation with SQL Server 2008R2 on a Windows Server 2008R2 and it's a Foundations only installation.

Setting up FBA in Sharepoint 2010 Foundation - Managed to lock myself out of all sites - Could reall

Sorry, I've just realised I posted this in the wrong area. If a mod/admin could move this, I would greatly appreciate it

Hello MSDN,

I have been working towards setting up FBA on my Sharepoint 2010 Foundation server, hosted by Rackspace. But while setting up .net user roles I get all manner of strange behaviour like messages about trust relationships, and have to edit the GAC.

Now, I have managed to lock myself out of all of my sites (Including central admin), which, as you can imagine, is rather frustrating.

This isn't a mission critical server, but it would be nice to have it back online today. So if anyone knows a bit about setting up FBA, ask away and I can give any information that you require, and if necessary, I'm happy have a chat on Windows Live.

Cheers guys/

Good evening,

just a quick question, are there a lot of developers using  the express edition to make web sites, or is it limited to what you can do, and I would be  better getting the full edition visual studio 2010. I have been using dreamweaver, but I wanted to try my hand at asp.net, thx for any info you can offer.

How to upgrade from Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 to SharePoint Foundation 2010 after mistanely de

I need a detailed instruction on how to upgrade From Upgrading from Windows SharePoint Services 2.0  (SBS 2003 ) to SharePoint Foundation 2010.

Background of the case:

I have all my databases (STS-database and STS_Config) saved but, I forgot to save my Virtual Site )Companyweb site) and I mistakenly re-installed IIS on the SBS 2003, hence  I lost the companyweb site. Is this an issue to migrate to Sharepoint foundation 2010. The Sharepoint foundation 2010 is running on a Microsoft HyperV Server 2008 R2
Also, I have created a Virtual 2003 SRV ENT with Sharepoint Services 3.0 running on it. I also have attached my Databases STS_Database and STS_Config)... how do I get it working like a regular website. I have modified the CNAME record to reflect the new server... http://companyweb - it take me to the new site but it loads a blank page. I did create a new CompanyWeb Virtual site on the VHD 2003 server.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your prompt response. Nelson

Trouble With Team Foundation Server/Visual Studio 2010

Hi At work we are 2 guys on the same project. We both program in visual studio 2010. The other guy complains that he don't see my changes. I know this dude have already executed "Get Latest Version", despite that he don't get my changes. Some more information that may be relevant:Each time I've done some changes to the source code on my local computer, when I run the code breakpoints are not triggered. I get a message saying something about mismatch between different version of the source (or something like that, weeks sinece I saw that message). It's a while since I saw that message becasue I've found a work-around: Each time I've done changes tothe source code I do this:- Clean Solution- Rebuild (Release)- Rebuild (Debug) When I've done that I can see my own changes.. But the other guy have trouble with seeing my changes. I'm not sure how to fix it so that he see my changes. I checkin regulary so my changes should be available on the Team Foundation Server. Any help on this would be very helpful
