But, when I try run this in IE 7 on Windows vista machine, it does not work(i mean the jquery ajax function, javascript, and updatepanel controls not working).when I run this it displays the alert message that says, "to enable script, choose 'Options' from IE tools menu and navigate to 'Advanced Tab' and go to 'Browsing' Category and clear the 'Disable Script Blocking (IE) and Disable script Blocking (other)'".I did as the alert message says. Even, I have changed javascript, updatepanel control is not working in IE 7 on windows vista machine.I have checked 'Security' Tab also..Any solution for that?Thanksr.eswaran.

Windows Forms application Stopped Working message in Windows Vista

A Windows Forms application developed with VB2008 Express that has been successfully run on two Windows XP systems and a Windows 7 system fails to run on two of two Windows Vista systems tried so far.

Attempting to run the app on a Windows Vista system results in a system dialog box titled, Microsoft Windows, with the message, A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.  A single button at the lower right of the dialog contains the text, Close Program.
The initial form of the application never displayed and the dialog above appeared with little delay after attempting to start the program.

The program uses an SQL Server Compact Edition 3.5 database and the program is compiled to include the following .DLL files so the user does not need to install SQL ServerCE.

The Load event of the initial form causes a DataSet to be filled from the SQL CE DB.

dsofile.dll not working in VS2008 Website on Windows 7 64-bit machine

Hello Everyone,

I need to extract meta-data of different files, as uploaded by the user.

For this I found out dsofile.dll from MS. Now the problem is that the version I've downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=9BA6FAC6-520B-4A0A-878A-53EC8300C4C2&displaylang=en is working fine with Windows XP but giving run-time error in Windows 7 64-bit system. Finding more on the error I was getting I came to know that the dll would not work for 64 bit OS. I also downloaded 64-bit from http://www.keysolutions.com/blogs/kenyee.nsf/d6plinks/KKYE-79KRU6 but still am getting below run-time error:

Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {58968145-CF05-4341-995F-2EE093F6ABA3} failed due to the following error: 80040154.

I've two questions:

  1. How can I solve this run-time error and from where will I get dll working in VS2008 Website on Windows 7 64-bit?
  2. Is there any other way I can extract meta-data (all the attributes/properties other than exposed by System.IO.FileAttributes) of any file (could be doc, docx, xls, xlsx, jpg, pdf, t

error C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\config\machine.config parser error 0x80070570.

I've try to reinstall .net 2.0 framework but the installer said that this tool is already installed, and I try to install .NET3.0 framwork but the problems already exist.

I've used the tool "netfx_setupverifier_new.zip" for verify the installation and this gives me this log error:

I had the CSS friendly adapters working great on our old server (windows server 2003 - 32bit) and now we have moved to a 64 bit environment and now I can not get the CSS friendly adapters to work.
