Schema- first contract-first modeling of Web Services gives you the ability to model your contracts with an XML-centric mindset. This process keeps you focused on universally acceptable types and the hierarchical data structures that can be represented in XML.

I have a .dll that contains my data contracts and I reference this dll in two different services.
Now, on the client side I don't want to add this dll because I need both WPF-clients and Silverlight clients. So, what I want is to be able to use a single data contract on the client side and not with different namespaces for the different services. As
I understand this should be possible but I don't know how.
Can someone explain how I can generate a single data contract on client side that can be used for calls to both services?
Thanks for help!
Can some give me some guidance on how to create a 'Contracted Services' Dimension?
I have the following working Dimensions:
Customers and Services
And a Fact_Service_Usage. Fact_Service_Usage has a CustomerKey and a ServiceKey. This creates a proper intersection of Services_Usage, Customer and Service.
However, in our business we need to ensure we only report on 'Contracted Services'.
So I need to create a Dimension that properly enumerates only those services for which the Customer is contracted. I have a table called DimContractedServices that holds the CustomerKey and the ServiceKey for those services for which they are contracted.
In the Data Source View I create the relationships between the respective Keys and use the Dimension Building Wizard to create the Contracted Services Dimension.
This Dimension is not working correctly.
Could someone help walk me through an example of how they would approach building this ContractedServices Dimension correctly? Perhaps someone has built a similar Dimension and can give me some hints on how to structure this so that it allows the enumeration
of the .MEMBERS for only ContractedServices.
Thanks very much for the assistance.

I'm trying to test calling a webservice, I've found several free ones on http://webserviceshare.com, but none of them work for me. Some of them give example calling code in C# which I've translated to VB.NET, they're typically just two to four lines, I don't think I've translated them incorrectly.
On that I've tried is US Zip Validator. I added a Service Reference to http://www.webservicemart.com/uszip.asmx?WSDL, called ZipService.
I then call it like so:
Dim myZipService As ZipService.USZipSoapClient = New ZipService.USZipSoapClient() Dim myCity As String = myZipService.ValidateZip("27707")
I get the following error on the first line of code:
"An endpoint configuration section for contract 'ZipService.USZipSoap' could not be loaded because more than one endpoint configuration for that contract was found. Please indicate the preferred endpoint configuration section by name."
