We have a Moss2007 installation with SP2 and CU update October 2009.
All our clients have a network drive to a DFS link. We use XP, Vista and Windows7 clients
Our DFS structure: DFS-Namespace\A LOT OF DFS-Links\
When a Windows 7 user want to upload multiple documents (Doc Library menu->Upload->Upload Multiple documents), he cannot expand the
DFS network drive. This problems is only on Windows7 and not on XP or Vista.
I think that Windows 7 has another interpretation about the DFS links because when we try to upload multiple documents from a network drive
that is linked directly to a DFS folder, you see all the folders and documents when expanded.
-> Not working
-> No problem
When you go directly to the network drive though Windows explorer, you see that Windows 7 show a folder with shortcut icon instead of a
normal folder icon for a DFS LINK. Windows Vista show’s
an normal folder icon for a DFS Link. Maybe not relevant, it ‘s only a remark.
Someone any idée?
