XML on the fly?

I'm building a site that uses roles and I want to have the menu in the database. I have tried to build the Web.Sitemap on the fly, but my problem is how do I write the sql to get it right? My db looks like this LinkId, ParentId,  Path, LinkText, ToolTip, Roles1, NULL, ~/Default.aspx, Home, Go to start page, Admin2, 1, ~/Contact.aspx, Contact, Keep in touch, Admin3, 1, ~/SiteMap.aspx, Sitemap, Site constuction, Admin4, NULL, ~/Test.aspx, Test page, Test page, * My problem is how do I do to get it right in the xml file? This xml file would look something like this<siteMap><siteMapNode url="~/Default.aspx" title="Home" description="Go to start page" roles="Admin"><siteMapNode url="~/Contact.aspx" title="Contact" description="Keep in touch" roles="Admin" /><siteMapNode url="~/SiteMap.aspx" title="Sitemap" description="Site constuction" roles="Admin" /></siteMapNode><siteMapNode url="~/Test.aspx" title="Test page" description="Test page" roles="*"></siteMap> I think you get the idea of my problem?
