Is there anyway to re-associate a workflow with my ASPX forms after XSN forms have been created?

I had a very complicated workflow created in SP 2007 that was working fine, until our IT migrated the site over to SP 2010.  There was one minor thing that wasn't working.  I opened the WF in SP 2010 (my first time using this for WFs) and when editing it changed all my forms to XSN forms that did not have any of the text / coding that I had spent a lot of time on for my ASPX forms.

Currently I have to get this back to working asap and don't have time to recreate all this with XSN forms just yet.  My ASPX forms are still there but I can't figure out how to get the workflow to refer to them instead of the XSN forms.  I edited the filename.xoml.wfconfig.xml to change all the .xsn extensions to .aspx but it still is looking for xsn forms.

Is there anyway to do this or am I forced to recreate all my forms with XSN now?

Please help!

How to use custom WrkTaskIp.aspx page in custom sharepoint workflow ?

I have created as custom task edit browser enabled Infopath form which successfully gets open when user clicks on Edit task. But by default it opens up in the WrkTaskIP.aspx page which is available in 12 hive..Layouts folder.

Now the default WrkTaskIP form provides two following options as hyperlinks 1. Delete item, and 2. A link to navigate to the task display form

I want to customize the OOB, WrkTaskIP page and associate that with my workflow.

How exactly can i achieve this ?

P.S: I have refered this link , but that does not specify clearly where exaclty to associate that custom page in the workflow and how.

How to create Approval Workflow with ASPX forms in Visual Studio 2008?

I have to create Workflow in Visual Studio 2008. I guess will be easy to support workflow with forms created as ASPX forms.

I found a lot of articles how to create workflow with InfoPath forms but what about examples with ASPX forms?

Help Renaming Workflow Custom Task Forms

I've got a custom workflow which has a few "Start Custom Task Process" actions. When I created them, the default names were Task (1), Task (2), etc. But I have renamed the Task within the Workflow. When I look at the Form's section of my Workflow in SharePoint Designer, the File Names for those forms are Task_x0028_1_x0029_.xsn, Task_x0028_2_x0029_.xsn, etc. I can open the Form's in InfoPath and do the editing I want to, but I cannot get them renamed on the SharePoint server.

I've tried going to the Task Lists from within the Workflow via Customization>Open Task List, and then renaming them from there but that doesn't work. I've also tried renaming the actual file via Navigation>All Files>Workflows>Workflow Name but that just breaks the link to the form when the task is executed.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to rename these and have them show up with the proper name within the "Forms" section when working on the workflow?

Custom views on .aspx webpage

Hi again, i have a client that needs me to create a custom view on thier webpage similar to Microsoft Word.

It goes about that, when I click on an image it redirects me to another page and must create a custom view for a certain paragraph on that page. I am not sure how to do this and wonder if anyone knows how.

I am using C# programming language if that helps at all. I Heard that using javascript would work but i dont know javascript yet so is there any alternative?

.NET Internals: Tailor Your Application by Building a Custom Forms Designer with .NET

The design-time architecture of Windows Forms in the .NET Framework has made development much more flexible than it had been with MFC. With Windows Forms, you can drag one of your custom controls from the toolbox and drop it onto the Visual Studio design surface and even though Windows Forms knows nothing about the control, it's able to host it and let you manipulate its properties-not possible in MFC. In this article, the author discusses what's going on under the covers as you design your forms and then walks through the creation of a bare-bones forms designer.

InfoPath: Turn User Input into XML with Custom Forms Using Office InfoPath 2003

Office InfoPath 2003 is a new Microsoft Office product that lets you design your own data collection forms that, when submitted, turn the user-entered data into XML for any XML-supporting process to use. With an InfoPath solution in place, you can convert all those commonly used paper forms into Microsoft Office-based forms and end the cycle of handwriting and reentering data into your systems. Today organizations are beginning to realize the value of the mountains of data they collect every day, how hard it is to access it, and are striving to mine it effectively. InfoPath will aid in the design of effective data collection systems. Here the author shows you how to get started.

Proper setup using Infopath and Custom Workflow using VS 2008

I have been struggling for a couple of days, trying to set up a decent
structure for an Infopath project using a custom workflow using Visual Studio 2008.

I had a solution with two projects:

1) Sharepoint 2007 Workflow

2) Infopath 2007 form w/code-behind.

I included the xsn, in the VS solution, but after a day or two,
something went wrong, and I lost some work. I still do not know what
happened, but I could not get my changes to persist afterthat  Doing research I have read that this
stucture, using Infopath xsn, within VS does not work correctly with Source
Control. I am using VSS.

So I since made a change to the set-up so that the .xsn (form template) is separate from
Visual Studio. However, I need to leave the code-behind in VS, since I need to debug

This is my latest problem. I have been unable to attach to the correct
process, as VS generates cachse files, and who knows what else.

My question is simple. What is the supported method for debugging InfoPath
code/behind, which uses a Sharepiont Workflow?

I just also want to say that one should not have
to spend a few days just trying to setup a working development environment.

This should be trouble-free, but it is far from being so. I

Custom Editform.aspx crashes Sharepoint Designer

Hi there,

I've recently designed a sharepoint list and customised newform.aspx and editform.aspx. I made copies of the originals then customised the copies.
On both forms I simply:

* Closed original List Form web part
* Added Custom List Form
* Added some section breaks (<tr>) to the form to break it into sections
* Added a new css style to change the background colour on the section breaks (table rows)

Now NewForm.aspx works fine. However after making above changes in EditForm.aspx, I saved it. However whenever I try to reopen EditForm.aspx in Sharepoint Designer (SD), SD crashes! I can only open it in Text view. The error details reported by SD are:

Problem with SharePoint Designer 2007 and Custom List Forms

I created several forms (Create/Edit/View) for a SharePoint list, using Custom List Forms.  I'm using Content Types in the list to ensure that each item only has the necessary fields.  When I created the ASPX forms, and inserted the Custom List Forms, I selected the correct Content Type, and I got the right fields inserted in the form.

Now, for some reason I can't identify, every time I create a new form, and insert a Custom List Form, SPD is bringing ALL fields from the list, instead of just bringing the fields included in the selected Content Type.

I have tried many different things to solve the problem, including creating new lists/content types/forms, etc. but SPD is doing the same thing all the time.

Can somebody tell me what may have gone wrong in SPD or MOSS?

Custom sequence activity deriving from System.Workflow.Activities.SequenceActivity

Hi, I try to create custom sequence activity. I found some sample (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wfprerelease/thread/f54e8eb2-29d9-46f6-ad96-766fe6fad333/). But this custom activity looks ugly (to separate nested activity using ellipses instead of arrows). My question is - how to create custom sequence activity, which will look like sequence activity. I also found this sample - <ContentPresenter x:Uid="ContentPresenter_1" Content="{Binding}" Style="{x:Static sacdt:DesignerStylesDictionary.SequenceStyle}"/> When I used this ContentPresenter my custom activity looks like System.Workflow.Activities.SequenceActivity, but I couldn't put on it another activity. I also created class, which derives from System.Workflow.Activities.SequenceActivity, but I couldn't see it in toolbox. My question is - how to create class, which derives from System.Workflow.Activities.SequenceActivity and is visible in toolbox or how to use ContentPresenter for sequence activity, which allows put on itself another activity.

Custom Ribbon action using quick step for workflow

I created custom button using the quick step in ribbon, and configured to invoke a workflow. It shows start and stop page of workflow where I have to click start. How to start workflow directly from the ribbon without this redirection to page.

Custom DynamicData Default.aspx GridView

On the Default.aspx page the GridView control is populated programmatically by setting its Datasource to a list of table objects. Is there some way I could populate this GridView manually using my own set of NavigateUrls and DisplayNames?Simon
