I am fishing for ideas. I currently have a web site that my customers log in to. A customers staff can log on using Forms authentication or with an OpenID. One customer has asked that their staff log on using their active directory credentials. Is this possible? I imagine one of two possibilities.
The customer has a link on their intranet which directs staff to a particular page on my web site. I don't know what to do at that point. Would the Intranet pass me a token of some form that I validate in order to work out which particular staff member is connecting?
Create a page specifically for this customer which asks their staff for their AD username/password and then somehow validates them against a service provided by the customer. What would my web site need to do in this situation? What sort of service would the customer need to provide.
The preferred solution would be to install 'Log on to your website using a Customers AD credentials V1.0 for ASP.Net Mvc', if the product existed!
Any thoughts, suggestions or references gratefully accepted.
