Integrating Yahoo Messenger Archives into Sharepoint

We're using Sharepoint 2010 and everyone currently has Yahoo Messenger with Messenger Archives enabled. Is there any way of connecting to the yahoo network and storing all those conversations centrally and integrating this into sharepoint? We eventually want to make a customer portal where one webpart will show all the conversations with a particular customer. I'm happy to switch to any Instant Messenging program (Office Communicator looks hopeful) but all our customers are on the Yahoo Network so that is a must. Ideally I'd prefer to do as much as possible out-of-the-box. Thanks Programs I have researched: Office Communicator 2007 -> I know it stores the conversation history in Outlook and so I'm assuming exchange server. Is there any mileage here? Trillian Astra -> It stores its archives in XML files on the user's machine. I don't know if that is an angle a developer could take?

How can I implement instant messaging?

I was planning on handling the Session_OnEnd Event to check for new messages from other users in the database and display them, but the timeout value only works in minutes, not seconds.  If there anything else that I can do to process an event every two seconds for a certain web page?

SQL Agent - Running SSIS Package - Windows Server 2008/Windows 7 - Messenger Services

We have tried to run a SQL job for SSIS Package. But it failed during the execution with the error "[364] The Messenger service has not been started - NetSend notifications will not be sent". But in the job, no notifications have been configured and in windows server 2008/Windows-7 there is no messenger service at all.

When we search for the the messenger service in windows 7/windows server 2008, we found that service is not in both the OS and it was replaced by msg.exe.

Any help or workaround would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

PS: The normal SQL jobs other than SSIS are working fine without any error.

Messenger service is not in Windows 2008 but Sql Server 2008 is asking for it to run Database Mail

so how do you make Database Mail work in SQL Server 2008 without messenger service
