Finally I did manage to build an application that supports unicode characters..
Now my application generates a zip file which contains an XML file. I want to unzip the zip file to view the contents of an XML file.
i am unable to unzip because the name of the zip file/as well as XMl file has Unicode characters(i.e. japanese Name) and it gives some error.
If i generate the XML file with same contents but name of the files in English then i can view the contents of the XML file.
My query is i want to be able to unzip the XML file when the name of the file contains unicode characters in it.
as per my research up till now, we either require a compatible winzip software or we have to create an utility for the same.
I need to know how to go about it. It's a little urgent as well.
Thnx in advance.

Using SSIS 2005 can I unzip a "Single File" from a .ZIP file? Please advise.
I know there are many 3rd party tools we can install and use process task to do this or I think VJ# has this inbuilt. But I was looking for some solution using .NET's own "System.IO.Packaging.Package ".
HI All, I am looking for some help in downloading latest Zip file from a FTP location and UnZIP it by saving to a particular location using VB.NET GipStream or some other method. I prefer not to use any 3rd party controls. All ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
I have a zip file which contains another zip file. I am using third party dll called ICSharpCode for unzipping. I am able to extract the contents of main zip file but not able to extract the zip file inside main zip file.
Could anyone you help me in this.
