You'll have to excuse my ignorance, I'm coming at this from a front-end perspective, and don't really know how to deal with data views in ASP.NET.
Basically, I'm trying to change the layout of some repeated data from a straight table, to something more design-heavy. It's the same data, just re-organised slightly. The current ASP.NET code looks like this:
<asp:GridView ID="GVMoments" runat="server" AllowPaging="True" AllowSorting="True"
AutoGenerateColumns="False" PageSize="20" RowHeaderColumn="FirstName"
<PagerSettings Mode="NumericFirstLast" PageButtonCount="20" Position="TopAndBottom" />
<asp:BoundField DataField="moment_id" HeaderText="moment_id" ReadOnly="True" SortExpression="moment_id"
I have different sites in my sharepoint application. in every site i have one list, this list have one field called location. When i open this list in purticular site at the time users will see only the items where the location filed is equal
to the site name.
So please suggest me how we can achieve this?

The OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "SOMESERVER" supplied inconsistent metadata for a column. The column "ACTIONITEMID" (compile-time ordinal 1) of object ""SOMESERVER_Action"."AI_ACTIONITEM"" was reported to have a "DBTYPE" of 130 at
compile time and 131 at run time.
Using SSRS 2008.
Can please suggest, Is there a way to change the caption of submit button that appears when we have report parameters. "View Report" to something else
Thanks for replies.
I have a custom list with 2 columns: Title, and a LookupColumn. In the AllItem View, the color for both of them is pale blue. I want to change that color to darker blue #0000FF. When I tried to change the color in SharePoint Designer 2010, I can only change
the color of the title column to #0000FF, but I couldn't change the color of the lookup column. I see that the lookup column is already surrounded by the tag <span style="color: #0000FF">......</span> but somehow the color is still pale blue.
When I tried to apply the background color, font, etc, they all worked. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.
Is there any way to change the HTML that is generated by default when you create a strongly typed view in MVC2?
I currently get a structure like this:
<%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.category_id) %>
<%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.category_id) %>
<%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.category_id) %>
I want to change it to a structure like this:
<div> <div><%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.user_login) %></div> <div><%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.user_login) %></div> <div><%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.user_login) %></div>
the report manager by default requires after a users changes a value in a dropdown filter still to go all the way to the right and clik the "View Report" button. Is there a way (config..file)to update the report based on a filter value change without click
the View report button....
How can I change the folder icon in the default document library view? The catch is, I don't need to do this across the board, instead, I need a custom folder icon based upon the individual folder's properties.
I'm aware of the file ..\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\XML\DOCICON.XML, but that's not what I need.
My initial thought, was to find the page that sharepoint uses as the template, find the <img> src attribute, and chnage it from
to something like
my GetIcon.aspx page would then look up the folder's properties, and return the expected .gif file. However, I don't know which file is used.
