I have existing report connected to SSAS cube. When I try to change the query and click OK, i get this message "Could not update a list of fields for the query. Verify that you can connect to the data source and your query syntax is correct"
My Query syntax and access to data source dont have any problem. Because fo this issue, i cannot update the query used in the report. How do i resolved this issue?
We recently upgraded a server from 2005 to 2008. We have some long running SP's (1 or 2 min) that used to run ok on 2005. Since the upgrade, whenever we run those SP's after some time, the process ID is no longer up on the server and the SSMS on the client
indicates that the query is still running. Is there a new timeout parameter or something like that on 2008 that drops the long running procedures?

A std query from outside the server works fine until a Join is added then it runs forever.
A backup and restord did nothing as well as reindexing, shrinking and optimizing.

SQL ServerT 2000 includes several XML features that let you transform relational rowsets into hierarchical XML documents, read XML documents, and bulk load data via XML. For example, you can pass an XML document to a stored procedure, join the XML to some tables and return a rowset, or even modify data in the database.
