Hi,   Our application is using aspnet_Membership table for storing the password. As per the new password guidelines the new password shouldn't match the last three passwords.So in the aspnet_Membership table creating two new columns to hold the password.  1) What's the encryption mechanism for the table aspnet_Membership  2) which encryption should be used to password store in the database  3) Can encryption and decryption be done at the database level   Regards Janet

I am having IIS server and SQL server on two different machines. 

In the SQL server I created a new user using the SQL Authentication.

In my application I am using a connection string like this:
