ReportViewer Not showing all data from table

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 10, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net
Hello all,I am new to the forum and have done a search but can't seem to find anyone who has the same problem I do.  I am using ReportViewer with Visual Web Developer Express, I am doing a very simple query which should return two rows in the report.  Testing the query using query builder does return the two rows, but when I build and run the report it only shows the one row.  Hide duplicates is not turned on.  I can create a gridview not using the reportviewer and both rows appear after the build and run.The query:SELECT     defect_seq, ticket_numFROM         def2ticWHERE     (defect_seq = 15190002)ORDER BY defect_seqThis will return two rows when it is run against the database...Any ideas?  I have been killing myself trying different options..  Is there something built in to not show duplicates?  Am I enetering the fields wrong in the matrix?Also is there any good documentation on the ReportViewer for Visual Web express, besides the walkthrough?Thanks!!!!John

Showing data from more than one table in Custome PageTemplate Using dynamic data

I want to display data from more than one table in one of my custom page template of my ASP.NET Dynamic data web app.

The query would be something like the one given below:

CREATE VIEW [dbo].[EmployeeDetail_V]
SELECT Emp.EmployeeID, Emp.FirstName, Emp.LastName,
Emp.MailID, Dept.Name, Desig.Designation
From Employee Emp
INNER JOIN Department Dept ON Emp.DepartmentID = Dept.DepartmentID
INNER JOIN Designation Desig ON Emp.DesignationID = Desig.DesignationID

I know, I can do this using sql views but I want that user should also be able to edit the records also.

Is there a framework or step to do this using VS 2010?

Reportviewer 2010 is coming with blank screen. Data exists on the page but not showing on the screen

Checkboxes from data table

I have a data table that contains some values for Certifications.  This table can be updated in a different part of my application.  On the web page I am currently working on, I would like to have check boxes appear for every value in the data table.  I have been struggling with this trying to use a For Each loop and I cannot get it to work for anything.  Any suggestions?

I am using the following Razor syntax to obtain my data (I know this works because I can display it in a WebGrid):

var db = Database.Open("MyConn");

Dynamic Data Entities Modal GridViewPager not showing

I am using the ModalEF template, converted to a web application.

The GridViewPager is not showing up, though everything else works fine (filters, updates, etc).

I have tried several things in the last two weeks, to no avail.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The GridViewPager.ascx.cs Page_Load fires, but the Page_PreRender does not.

Entity Data Model and database view returning the same columns as there are in a table

When adding a stored procedure into the Entity Data Model I can select whether the procedure returns a scalar, a (new) complex type or one of the entity types I already defined.

How do I do something similar for a view?

I mean assuming I have a view like this

CREATE VIEW FilteredFoos as SELECT Foo.* FROM Foo join ... WHERE ...

(that is a view that implements some involved filtering, but returns all columns from one table) how do I add it to the project so that I can use the entity set, but get the Foo objects, not some new FilteredFoo objects.

var foos = myDB.FilteredFoos.Include("Bar").ToList();

foreach (Foo foo in foos) { ...

Thanks, Jenda

How to create scrolling table for columns in a SharePoint Designer Data View

I have a fairly complex SharePoint Designer 2007 Data View they have added two more requirements.

1. Have the columns on the right side be able to scroll left to right as there is a large number of columns, while the first 3 columns on the left side stay locked in place.  This is only one list not two, and because of some other requirements I have it must remain to be just one list.

2. Then they also need to have scrolling up and down of the entire list with the headers locked in place.

The first requirement is more important than the second, but preferrably I need to do both.

I am new to XSL so not familar with the syntax. Is this something I can do on a custom Data View? Does anyone have any examples of how?

I have a drawing that show how it needs to look but I don't see an option here to upload a graphic.

So here is a link to my graphic example uploaded to my blog area: http://lindachapman.blogspot.com/  or just the image here: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_aB01ue__NvQ/TGL42MOvrGI/AAAAAAAAAA4/c3xP4uCy4BU/s1600/Scrolling.png

Showing available time slot in table format

I'm currently developing a system for booking of discussion room in a college. This system will allow the staff to help the students to make booking in advanced as well as for instant walk in usage.

I've got a table to keep track of bookings, another for walk in and one for time slot.

For the time slot table, it includes start time slot and end time slot, which is 30 minutes interval for each.

What i'm currently facing is that the system could not display the correct available time slot. I think it's the formula problem which I still can't get it solved.

If the booking time is 8.30am - 9.00am, I have no problem showing the 1st slot as N/A.

But if the time is 8.45am - 9.15am, the system only update the 1st slot as N/A while the 2nd slot still remain as AVAILABLE which is wrong. Because since the time ends at 9.15, I would like the slot 9.00am - 9.30am to be N/A as well.

This would be my code:

for (int x = 0; x < countTimeSlot; x++)
     if (int.Parse(arrEndTimeSlot[x].ToString()) > intBookedStartTime && int.Parse(

how to search the table name on th basis of data.

Custom SSIS Data Flow Component Not Showing in Toolbox or GAC

Hello - I have created a very simple data flow component for SSIS (Actually, I am following this example:  http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=1C2A7DD2-3EC3-4641-9407-A5A337BEA7D3&displaylang=en).  However, when I register the DLL to the GAC, I am unable to find the assembly in C:\Windows\Assembly - even though the GACUTIL says "Assembly Registered Successfully".  Furthermore, after copying the DLL to the PipelineComponents folder for SSIS (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\PipelineComponents), it does not show in the "Choose Items . . ." dialog box of SSIS.   I am running SQL Server 2008 Dev edition, Visual Studio 2010 with .NET 4.0, and Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit edition.  Any assistance/thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
