We have implemented ajaxtoolkit version: 3.5.40412.0, and my web application is not AJAX enabled. We have included ajaxtoolkit binary reference in our web application. In one of the page, calendar extendar is working fine when it rendar first, after postback it's not working at all in IE7, but it's working fine in Mozilla. The sample code is as below, [ We are not getting any javascript or HTML tag error ]   <%@ Register Assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" Namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" TagPrefix="ajaxToolkit" %><asp:Content ID="MyTest" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContentPlaceHolder" runat="server"><ajaxToolkit:ToolkitScriptManager id="ScriptManager1" runat="server"/><table><td><asp:TextBox ID="txtDate" TabIndex="8" runat="server" Width="144px"></asp:TextBox><ajaxToolkit:CalendarExtender ID="calDate" Format="MM/dd/yyyy" runat="server" TargetControlID="txtDate" PopupPosition="BottomRight" /><asp:RangeValidator ID="DateRangeValidator" runat="server" Display="None" EnableClientScript="false" ControlToValidate="txtDate" ErrorMessage="Selected date is not within range." Type="Date" /><

Hover extender not working after postback

Hi I bind a hover extender to a cell in a gridview, using following code: Sub GridView1_RowDataBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewRowEventArgs) Handles GridView1.RowDataBound If e.Row.RowType = DataControlRowType.DataRow Then  Dim hoverMenu As HoverMenuExtender = CType(e.Row.FindControl("hoverMenu"), HoverMenuExtender)  e.Row.Cells(1).Controls.Item(0).ID = e.Row.RowIndex.ToString()     hoverMenu.TargetControlID = e.Row.Cells(1).Controls.Item(0).ID End If End Sub Now This works perfectly and the panel appear when hovering over the second cell. However after a postback it is no longer working and no panel will show when hovering over the cell. Ajax Calendar Extender Question (about disable pass date)

HiI am wondering if it has anyway to disable the past day on the Ajax Calendar Control, previously, when we use CalendarExtender, we need to put a asp:Calendar and a textbox. we can use FindControl to find the calendar control and disable the past days.I am wondering is there anyway  could do the same stuff?Another question is how could I read the user selected date to the Date variable?Do i need to convert the date from the TargetControl ? E.g. Convert.ToDateTime(txt_DATE.text) ?Please let me know if you want me to explain more. Many thanksChi

Problems Positioning Popup Extender After Postback

Please read this entire post before responding and refer to the supplied screen shots to fully understand the problem. There are multiple layers of Ajax controls invovled. On the main page, I have Modal Popup Extender that displays a User Control. Within the User Control is a Popup Control that displays another User Control. User Control #2 which resides on User Control #1 is comprised of a GridView with sorting capabilities. I've got code in place that displays User Control #1 following a postback generated from within it. I've got additional code that displays User Control #2 (the one with the GridView) following a post back. The result is that when User Control #2 is sorted, it remains visible. The problem is that after the postback for User Control #2 ocurrs, the control is not displayed at the coordinates specified in the markup. If I hide it and then redisplay it, it will appear at the specified location. Protected Sub Page_Load() Handles Me.Load If TextBoxShowCompanyFacilitySelector.Text = "-1" Then Dim PopupControlSelectCompanyFacilityId As Object = FormViewContactDetail.FindControl("PopupControlSelectCompanyFacilityId") PopupControlSelectCompanyFacilityId.Show() End If End Sub These screen shots show the desired and actual behaviors.

Ajax Calendar Extender Within Gridview

I'm tasked with creating an editable gridview which contains several columns for input including a Start Date and End Date column. All columns are created dynamically at runtime based on a user's selection in a dropdown list. I would like to have an Ajax Calendar Extender attached to all text boxes in the Start and End Date Columns but since the table is made dynamically I need to add it in code behind. Most examples I've seen add ajax calendars to a gridview using template columns but i can not do this in my case. The following is my handling of the rowdatabound event - How do i edit this to attach a calendar extender to columns 1 and 2?1 protected void GridView1_RowDataBound(Object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e) 2 { 3 TextBox txt; 4 if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.DataRow) 5 { 6 for(int i = 0; i < e.Row.Cells.Count; i++) 7 { 8 for (int j = 0; j < e.Row.Cells[i].Controls.Count; j++) 9 { 10 if (e.Row.Cells[i].Controls[j] is TextBox) 11 { 12 txt = (TextBox)e.Row.Cells[i].Controls[j]; 13 if (txt != null && Page.IsPostBack) 14 { 15 txt.Text = Request.Form[txt.UniqueID]; 16

After async postback, hide/show panel stops working

I have a Gridview in an UpdatePanel with a column containing an "expander" button that shows (and hides) more detail beneath its row of data.  It all works great until the user pages the gridview.  After the async postback to page the gridview, the javascript function to toggle hide/show appears to work flawlessly (the expander's button image even changes correctly), but the detail panel just doesn't show on the page.Note that my expander control supports a "AsyncTriggerId" property that, if set in the markup, will rebind the javascript toggle function when that control triggers an async postback (see OnPreRender below)Here's the hide/show toggle javascript:function toggleExpander(divId, imgId) { var div = document.getElementById(divId); var img = document.getElementById(imgId); var cssClass = div.getAttribute("className"); if (div.style.display == "" || div.style.display == "none" || cssClass == "hidden") { div.style.display = "inline"; div.setAttribute("className", ""); img.src = "images/dir_down.png"; mce_src = "images/dir_down.png"; img.alt = "Collapse to hide details"; } else { div.style.display = "none"; img.src = "images/dir_rig

What service is responsible for Calendar Overlay working correctly?

I'm having 2 issues with my SharePoint server.  User Profile Sync stuck on starting and Calendar Overlay not working. I created a calendar overlay a month ago, containing 7 other calendars and it works fine.  It currently still works if I add items to one of the 7 calendars, those items show up on the calendar with the overaly. But if I try and create a new calendar and add overlay to it - containing different calendars, nothing appears.   No calendar items from the overlay calendars that I've added. This has only started happening since my User Profile Sync stopped working - are the two related, somehow? I get no errors at all - just a blank calendar!  Frustrating!! Thanks for any help.

jquery is not working after postback

Hi I am having a small problem with jquery so I did a simple sample to illustrate my problem. the problem is basically that jquery stops working after an autopostback. if you run the sample below, start by setting focus on the first textbox and then blur the first textbox u will notice that the second textbox gets hidden. that all works perfect now try to click on the checkbox to do a postback and then try setting focus on the first textbox. the jquery is no longer working!, why? what am I missing?<%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="test.aspx.vb" Inherits="test" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server"> <title></title> <script src="Scripts/jquery-1.2.6.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript" > $(document).ready(function() { $("#TxtB1").focus(function() { $("#TxtB2").show("slow"); }); $("#TxtB1").blur(function() { $("#TxtB2").hide("slow"); }); })

!POSTBACK not working as expected

I have a site I am trying to set up where the form can be submitted via click of button but when refreshing the page, I do not want it to resend the message. i have found several sites that show using Session Variables and !Postback, but for some reason, when using this action I am still hitting the !Postback condition even when I  do a refresh which I don't think is supposed to happen. Also, when it refreshes it resets the Session["checkrefresh"] variable and throws an error  Object Reference not found i believe on the if statment with the .ToString() check against the ViewState.  Any ideas would be awesome because I'm running out of them         ASPX.CS pageusing System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Web; using System.Web.UI; using System.Web.UI.WebControls; namespace CarouselApplicationSuite { public partial class TEStRefresh : System.Web.UI.Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { // If this is not the first time and is a refresh (not button click) set Session Var if (!IsPostBack) { Session["CheckRefresh"] = Server.UrlDecode(System.DateTime.Now.ToString()); } } protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { if

Adding functionality to the Toolkit Calendar Extender

Folks, I have not yet done a deep dive into the Toolkit code.  I need to try and make a couple of changes to the Calendar. The first one feels like an "it can't only be me that needs this" problem.  I have EarliestDate and LatestDate parameters floating around.  The requirement is to prevent the user clicking (ie they display as text rather than hyperlinks) any dates which fall outside of the two date limits.  An extension of that (not essential, more of a luxury) would be to prevent the user moving to months or years where the dates within that month/year are completely outside of the allowable range. The second one relates to when the initial view of the Calendar is Years.  I need to either be able to specify that the initial display starts for a given historical year (without showing that year in the textbox); or [better] to be able to squeeze a larger number of years onto the display, so that the user can move back a greater number of years with fewer clicks. I hope the questions make sense - all pointers welcome. Thanks,  Nick.

Calendar extender doesn't work

I have an as-simple-as-possible implementation of the Calendar extender; and when I click the text box, nothing happens.<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="_Default" %> <%@ Register TagPrefix="Ajax" Assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" Namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server"> <title></title> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div> <asp:ScriptManager ID="scriptManager1" runat="server"></asp:ScriptManager> <asp:TextBox ID="txtBeginDate" runat="server" ></asp:TextBox> <Ajax:CalendarExtender TargetControlID="txtBeginDate" runat="server" ID="CE1"></Ajax:CalendarExtender> </div> </form> </body> </html> I have referenced the AjaxControlToolkit.dll; I know that's working because I get auto-complete on "<Ajax:"Also the rendered page does have<script type="text/javascri
